A sock is missing.

I looked around to see if it was the pattern but no, it seems to be the sock that doesn't show up.

It could be because you can combine just plain markings with patterns. Then them not lining up exactly the same from foal to adult.

I wasn't sure if it was a bug or not, but hopefully it's only a one time thing. To me it seemed like his socks should have been higher and on all the legs (Like the X)
