I'm so confused. Well, to be fair, I've lived my whole life in a perpetual state of confusion but it's been considerably worse since moving abroad. Of course it's natural when moving to a totally unfamiliar country, but I do feel like the fact I'm a little bit of an idiot is slowing the learning process. Like, what the fuck is up with the shoe sizes. I've got my head around US sizes, a US 8 is UK 6 in women's. Seems easy enough. I got that. Wrong. Big fat wrong. I just want to go on the record to say that I've been a UK 6 my whole fecking life, in fact a UK 6 is actually half a size too big but most places don't sell half sizes so I stick with a 6. So tell me why, the US 8 is small on me. Excuse me? You're supposed to be a UK 6 - an EU 39 even - and you're too small? I feel like I'm being pranked. And most places here don't do half sizes so I'd have to go for a US 9, but the US 8 is only slightly too small and I have a feeling the US 9 is going to be like wearing clown shoes (seems fitting). It's shitting out snow here and I just need some damn snow boots. And also work boots, and also need running shoes. I've sent so many stupid shoes back over the past few days. - Sincerely, an Irishwoman in Canada. Edited at November 21, 2022 10:42 AM by Mediterranean

Umm the US sizes to have half sizes. You just got to look for them in certian stores. I know Wal-Mart (yes I know cheap place, but you can get some good shoes if you look at treadsafes) have half sizes. I have wide feet (thanks to the Native American blood lol), but also really small feet. My regular size is a a 6.5 wide to 7.5 wide (depending if I am wearing sneakers, flats, or boots), but if I can't find that I have to go up a size or two to get shoes, just so I'm comfortable in my own shoes. My problem is finding my size for wide feet lol.

I know, shoe sizes are so dumb! Every brand has there own sizes and sometimes they don't correlate with others, and it's just frustrating lol. Especially for someone with small feet (I wear 3s in kids sizes, I know, tiny feet haha), but I know the US definitely has half sizes? Sometimes I wear a 3 1/2 or a 2 1/2 depending on the shoe, but I can usually find some in those sizes. I guess you just have to find the right stores like Hawkeye said...anyways, hope you find some shoes that fit right!

Guys xD I know the US has half sizes, I meant that *most* brands don't do them. It's just really annoying because I'm not supposed to be a half size and now it's complicated my shoe situation. It's fine though! I'll figure it out Edited at November 27, 2022 11:45 PM by Mediterranean
