I am not a mod, but I would say a fire version would be good for yourself.. but again.. not a mod XD

-HEE Click- Taking this art as an example (I don't believe it counts as advertising as it's been bought and paid for but apologies if that's wrong). Simply recolouring this would be too similar I think, but if I made say, a fire version, that would be okay? It's more the concept I want to use than the art itself.

Some of my sub par braves have good ratings and some of them have horrible ratings

How old does your account have to be to send ebs? Its 2 weeks right? I was trying to find where it told me but can't locate it

I feel like theres an understanding between adopts and regular art. Adopts/ Lineart is usually reused with different coats
Morning Glory Farms
most adopts also arent 100s of thousands to a mill + in ebs so people are less picky about them being the same theyre more bio art than they are actual horse images

Nothing wrong with being proud and enjoying the art you make for someone else. People can have and enjoy the same car or backpack.. I dont see why art is any different However I feel like that would depend on the person who you sold the Original Piece to. Example. If you just wanted to change the base coat I would be asking for permission from the person you sold the original to. If you changed the horse and background but had the same theme it wouldnt be any different than every other type of piece out there

asfa say for adopts, using the same base is fine, completely copying everything else though? not really, i'd say try not to make art similar to any just to be safe, just my opinion though :)
Basically Batman
I'd consider similar as same pattern and closely related colours. It needs to be a completely different design. Not all adopts on the same base are similar.
Asfamoth
Well how close is "similar"? Are adopts all made on the same base counted as similar?
Nordic Designs
Would depend on soooo many things its not even funny lol. age, rating, training, leveling, lineage, items used if any etc
Basically Batman
Why would you want something similar to someone else's art? At that point, you might as well keep the piece.
Asfamoth
Oh there's another question... if I make a *variant* of an art for myself, how different does it need to be?
Asfamoth
Thanks for the answers. I'll have to think more heavily on my future art then... or specify I'm keeping a copy, moreso with palettes. I keep all the files for all the art I ever do, and all the code for all the palettes I ever make. Seems a waste to never touch them again.

art you have made can be put into galleries to showcase your work yes
