I went into the hospital today in severe pain. I thought it was IBS. The urgent care who sent me here thought it was IBS. I was given morphine. I chatted with the doctors a bit and they, too, thought it was a severe IBS flare- but offered me to take the scan anyways. It was my choice, I could go home.
. I'm glad I took the scan.
I have appendicitis and my surgery is scheduled a few hours from now, or maybe in the morning.
. I'm anxious. Anybody want to be a buddy with me for a little while? |

I went through the same when I was 14. So I have an idea of what you are experiencing, very similar, didnt know it was my appendix until the drs caught it at the ER. It can be scary but I have faith you will be just fine, keep your chin up for sure. The anticipation of waiting is often more overwhelming than the procedure itself. On the bright side once its time you will be asleep and simply wake up like notnings happened minus just some pain and being sore. I wish you the best with your surgery <3 |

Was just woken up. I've been told they can take me into surgery earlier than expected. They originally told me 7 (it's 3:38 now), and they've reported that they can snag me in about an hour |
