So last Wed, on the 14th, my Nike Pole Vault Elite spikes broke, the fabric is coming out of the right side and there's a little hole in the plastic part of the shoe. I've only used them for 3 weeks, so I take them into the store to try and get a refund since Nike has a 2 year policy, and I get the refund, I then go to try and get them exchanged and the store doesn't have the pair I need so I have to order online. So I order that night and pay $25 extra in shipping fees to get them here by Friday May 16th so that I can have them for Divisional Championships, I need to win this meet to get to the next one. They were supposed to come at 10:30am yesterday. At around noon I get a update saying that the shoes aren't going to come until Monday, so by now I'm really stressed, because I can't jump in my running shoes, they are too slippery, worn out and I don't get the speed I need or the right plating to help my foot so I don't hurt it. So then I realize I could use my old sprint spikes from last year that I got used and I used those at the meet but it wasn't the same, my run and plant was different, I missed planting the pole in the box a couple of times, hurt my shoulder from the jarring impact of hitting the box collar with my pole and not the box, and somehow hurt my heel. I did win, but barely and I felt sluggish all day and only got a jump of 8''. So a very frustrating day for me yesterday, even though I won. Fast forward to today, and I look and my package went from being stuck in Frisco, Texas, to Memphis Tennessee... Wrong Direction lol I live in California... Just mad that I lost extra money on the shoes, they cost 140 bucks before shipping and about 160 after since I paid for fast shipping to come yesterday and now it's not. Oh well at least I should have them for the coming week on Friday.
