Warning a bit of language
So I waited 21 hours with no email from my advisor. So I called my advisor. Turns out she fucking quit and I didnt know. But cool I guess I also got a new one which I also didnt know about. But guess what? She out of the office today. Yay. So I get a random advisor.
Paraphraze of what went down between me and said Advisor.
Advisor: The only thing you can do is email your proffesor. She isnt accusing you of using AI either so nothing should happen. Just email her and ask her what's flagging her attention and that's all you can do.
Me: Her remarks sound like she is and it is very unfair if it is effecting my grades.
Advisor: reads the remarks No shes not accusing you of using it. Just email her and ask why she thinks you're using it. Tell her your process of writing assingments. If she does report you, you'll get a call from the Acedemic Integrity Department and you'll just have to explain how you write your assignments and they will make a judgment call. Just consider this a warning.
Me fuming while shes speaking: So literally accusing me of using AI. My process? You mean typing letters to make words and those words make my paper and those words come straight from my fucking head? A warning? So even you think I use AI. Great. Fucking awesome. Okay and what about my grades? I'm sure theyve been lowered due to her thinking this way.
Advisor: I dont control those and its not a big deal since you havent been accused of it. Thats something only your professor controls.
Me: Great. Is there anyone else I can go to along with my professor to handle this?
Advisor takes the long way around to say it but summed up to: This is between you, your professor and the Academic Integrity Department. Just email her. I'm sure you can work it out.
At this point I was actually crying because I was so frustrated so I said thank you and hung up before she heard. I was feeling so defeated I just sent an email to my professor in a probably slightly pissed tone.
Email: I'm reaching out due to some confusion regarding the feedback I received on my most recent discussion board post. I want to make it clear that I do not use AI for any part of any of my assignments. This includes writing, sourcing, or even outlining. All of my work is entirely my own. If there is something specific in my writing style or formatting that is triggering concerns, I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to avoid this moving forward.
Another 20 hours later she responds: Regarding your initial discussion post, the writing style had some similarities to AI generated work. For example, the first paragraph I noticed some very close similarities in the wording that mimicked other AI generated responses. I want to stress that I am not accusing you of using AI; I want to encourage you that if AI is ever used in any way, you must follow SNHU guidelines which include citing it properly as a source.
Great so what the fuck are those simualrites? You gave me literally zero guidance. And I said I dont use it at all. Why did you feel the need to mention crediting it? I feel very strongly that she doesnt believe me.

The post in question for anyone curious. The topic was wether or not is is okay to unfriend someone for having different views or beliefs than you.
Social media has changed how people talk about social and political issues. Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) let people share news, opinions, and personal stories with the click of a button. When something goes viral, like a video, a protest, or a hashtag, it can lead to real life conversations and even worldwide change. Movements such as #MeToo and #BlackLivesMatter became widely known through social media, showing how powerful these platforms can be in raising awareness and bringing people together around important causes.
Even though I recognize the impact social media can have, I personally don’t use it. That might seem unusual for someone my age, but I’ve found that social media often brings out a lot of negativity. People are quick to argue or even attack others just because they have different opinions. Even when someone tries to share their views in a respectful way, the conversation tends to quickly turn toxic. People find it much easier to be unnecessarily rude when they can hide behind a screen and I’d rather avoid that kind of environment, especially since it affects my mental health.
As for whether it’s okay to “unfriend” someone because of different beliefs, I think it depends on the situation. In general, I believe everyone has the right to their own opinions. Just because someone disagrees with me doesn’t mean I can’t be friends with them. However, if a person’s posts are constantly disrespectful, hateful, or create stress every time I see them, then I think it’s completely fair to remove them from my feed. Everyone has the right to set limits, especially online. There’s a difference between having a healthy debate and being dragged into constant arguments or negativity. Unfriending someone isn’t the same as trying to silence them; it’s just a way to protect your own peace. Social media is supposed to help us stay informed and connected, not overwhelmed or upset. If removing someone helps create a more positive online space for you, then I believe that’s a reasonable choice.
In the end, social media can either help people come together or drive them apart. While it’s good to stay open to different views, it’s also important to take care of your emotional well-being. If that means unfriending someone who constantly brings negativity into your life, then that decision should be respected. I feel the same can be said for unfriending someone in real life. A screen between you shouldn't make a difference.

Not sharing her full comments as thats persnonal. Just the part regarding AI. She left one on my first assignment too saying 'you need to write in your own words' which I also take as thinking I use AI.
Your post(s) has some similarities of improper artificial intelligence usage. If AI is being used, please follow the guidelines which includes citing AI. Should this concern come up again, I will submit this assignment for review to the Integrity Department.

I feel very defeated right now and honestly don't have the energy to fight it anymore. I think I'll just keep submitting assignments, if I fail the class I fail. I'll have to retake to get all my credits most likely. I'll almost definitly lose my 4.0 GPA. And if she reports me and wins? I get expelled. And of course it'll show on my record that I was expelled for cheating so what other college would let me continue? Would I even be allowed to transfer credits after that? Either road looks like failure but what's new in my life.
I'm just going to push ahead, drop it, and fingers crossed I can get just enough of a passing grade to get through and get my credits. Thanks for listening.
