I haven't used this section of the forum in many, many RL years, but I feel compelled today.
I hate my horses. I just passed fourteen years on the game in January, and my satisfaction with my breeding stock is at an all-time low. I've barely tracked any training in I don't know how long because I don't have anything good to track. This fuels my capture addiction even more because I figure if I can't breed it, capture it (LOL). This, in turn, leaves me too broke to plan or afford any great studs for RO -- not that I have the mares to make it worth my while. Forget broods altogether. The vicious cycle has been spiraling for some time now. And the icing on top is that the line of Splash SH I founded from my wild mare, which is responsible for the current explosion of splash in SH, ISH and PON, is gone from my barns. That was the culmination of a decade of attempting an ABLB splash project, and I now have nothing to show for it because it's died out.
Just feeling really pessimistic about my future focusing on any sort of competitive breeding programs. I am tired, my dudes. I don't have the time and energy to constantly make art to build up my funds like I used to, and I haven't been able to rely on straw or LC sales because I don't have any super desirable stallions. Not feeling the hottest about all of this.
