Absolutely. I read it in 9th grade and my teacher showed us his Oprah interview afterward. Such horrible things he had to live through and what an amazing soul he managed to keep through it all. I read number the stars in 7th grade and that is also a book that will always stick with me

Howl I should be getting called back from my old job.
I even gave them a heads-up.
Freightliner has already called 50 back, I had around 150-200.
So I think around end December or middle of Jan I'll get a call.

It's still part of my high school curriculum. We also read Maus (which I highly recommend as well), Heroes (which is a little gory but a good read), Lord of the Flies, and Night by Eli Wiesel (another 1000000/10 recommendation)

Howl that's how I feel, the company I work for moved from China tho to open a second location.
And it's a mess, I went to step on a safety rail to reach equipment to clean it.
The pole slipped right all the way down.
That's not including the other way worse stuff.

For us it's a mix's of people being lazy and safety reasons.
I think we had someone for safety walking around.
They had a red cross and American flag on their shirt.

One thing that has helped me, later on after I left school, everyone else is the same as you.
Think of the teacher, they are desperate for you to do well. Ask questions when you can, maybe by e-mail if you can't catch them face to face. They are happy to help, they want their students to thrive.
Same at work, almost everyone is keen for you to do well, they want to teach you and support you so you stay and make their own lives better at work with your support as you grow.
If somone freezes you out in the corridor, it's because they have something on their mind and did not even notice you.
Someone gives you a funny look, it is most likely they are thinking of somthing else and just happened to be looking your way.
Don't imagine that you are the center of the world. Thank god we are not; we just play at the edges!
Also no one can hear your thoughts, also thank god for that.
Be gentle with yourself. Everything takes time for everyone.
It takes time to figure out that balance of aloneness, getting space, yet not letting yourself get isolated and ensuring you have a few people you can share time with, it helps you feel real.
I'm still learning.

Medication has its ups and downs and it took a bit to find one that worked for me. Meds may not be for everyone, but I used to beg my mom to let me be homeschooled, Panic attacks, crying. But now after a couple years I doing pretty good in the anxiety department. Of course meds didnt rid me of anxiety but It keps it at bay and now I can go to school, work meet new people (even if it is scary) and even have A girlfriend
