With all droolworthy patterns and updated versions added , there are moments Im drawing sudden blank when someone in chat suddenly pops up - whats this?!

Im not a genetics guru by even a fraction, sure its easy to read the colour name in horses description... homozygous patterns however can be a bit tricky at times at a 1st glance.

So i have collected the main examples and what not, to look back to when in doubt ... could be useful to someone else out there too, this is still in progress too.

Sooty - either born with it, can be captured, rerolled on and off.

Lace - either born with it, can be captured, rerolled on and off.

Belton - small black speckle like markings on face and legs.

Vitiligo - either born with it, can be captured. White spots scattered accross the body that evolve and grow with age, wont appear until age of 2-3.

Bend-Or - random marking, appear in fully grown foal.

Black speckle/spot like markings scattered across the body Or a solid spot usually near booty.

Bloody shoulder - appear in grey horses only.

Birdcatcher - random white coloured markings, appear at age 3.

Chimera - cant be bred for, can be rerolled on/off, captured, born with it.

Brindle - comes in white or black. Born with it, captured. Cant be bred for.
