Gene Modifiers Pearl On Single Dilutes Pearl dilution is a recessive gene that can only carry the Phenotype if the horse carries Dominant for Creme. For a horse to be pearl of any kind, they must have the recessive alleles: prlprl. Smokey Black Pearl ~ Occurs on a horse with a Black base who also carries a Creme gene. 
Palomino Pearl ~ Occurs on a horse with Chestnut base who also carries a Creme gene. 
Buckskin Pearl ~ Occurs on a horse with a Bay base that also carries a Creme gene. 
Brown Buckskin Pearl ~ Occurs on a horse with a Brown base coat that carries a Creme gene.

Double Gene Modifiers Dun on Single Creme Dilutions Dun will only occur on non-Smokey Creme dilutions such as Palomino and Buckskin. Dunskin ~ Dunskin occurs when there is a Buckskin horse that carries the Dun gene. Variations also occur depending on the base coat. 
Brown Dunskin ~ Occurs on a Brown base with the Creme dilution and whilst carrying the Dun gene. 
Buttermilk Dunskin ~ Occurs on a (possible Light) Bay base with the Creme dilution whilst carrying the Dun gene. 
Dunalino ~ This occurs on a Palomino horse that carries the Dun gene. 
Chocolate Dunalino ~ A Creme gene on top of a (possible Dark Liver or Liver) Chestnut coat that carries a Dun gene.
