I definitely had a mixed bag. My #1 TBLB girl gave me a WWW (and Sun a WWW too) and my impulse purchase mare I bought this morning while upset also gave me a WWW. Other than those two, I had another hot mess of a season with two ABLB svenned matches flopping (both WEE) and three other WWWxWWW matches with items giving me EEEs. The embryo I had been saving for a full sibling to my #1 TBLB girl came out a a svenned WEE and for the third straight year, #18 TBLB couldn't get higher than a single W, even with a sven. On both of my side accounts, every single match flopped without an exception :(

I think that making a Game hard is fine. People play difficult and strategic Games all the time.
However having a Game Mechanic that works against players' hard work is frustrating and not fun.
I GET that it needs to be difficult to obtain a WWW, However there should be a consistent method that we can somewhat rely on. There should be absolutely no reason a WWW x WWW cross should produce a P rated horse if we are talking about logic...right?
And if the LB has any merit to strength, breeding top, strong horses should result in decent foals. Otherwise what was the point in all that hard work? EG, I snagged an EEE colt from a top LB/Sven match as a test...he wa sonly like 3 up in his Wk4...thats assuming his parents were strong(LB horses) PLUS a Sven...He SHOULD have been at least a very strong EEE...but he wasnt at all.
Seeing several of the same LB crosses result in a wide Variety of offspring is frustrating. I could imagine it makes players feel like thier hard work amounted to nothing if the offspring is just randomised...
Again, a Game Mechanic that works against players is not fun. Would it not be better to have a clearer method for breeding and less randomisation. Whats the worst that can happen? A bunch of WWW's are born? Okay, add another rating...or another breed. Surley this would be a lot more fun than constantly letting players down for their millions spent or tweaking the breeding algorithm every RO just for the Random Factor to steal all the glory.
This is mainly my rambling thoughts, and i am NOT a LB breeder. I have been playing consistently for over a year and I have bred 1 WWW which i am totally convinced was a fluke, I have still not been able to progress consistently above STRONG EEE's.
I do think this Mechanic needs revision. I love this game and I am grateful that Eve has worked with us on this so far. The updates have been great and the game is developing beautifully.
* Sorry about the spelling, my fingers are cold!

Sorry to hear you guys are still struggling. I have tweaked it now to decrease the negative swing of random factor. It's going to decrease the number of chances you have to breed down. I appreciate your patience while we go through the tweaks each month. I want to get it right.

Also, I want to be sure your expectations fall in line with how the Game works. A top horse x a top horse does not mean you should automatically get a top foal. It doesn't work that way in real life, nor here. A top horse x a top horse gives you a CHANCE at a top foal. This is where random factor comes in. It means the stats can swing positive or negative from the result of the cross. So, mostly I have to adjust the random factor until you have enough positive results to be happy. Why can't it just be mare stats and stallion stats without random factor? The game would be absolutely flooded with WWWs and they would be worthless. If you breed one, it needs to be worth something. Also, WWW were intended to be way more rare than they currently are. You can go back and read the news post from the day they were introduced. Also, breeding top horses together in real life can give nice foals, but it also gives a lot of duds. Nothing is guaranteed.

Can adjustments please be made at the end of the month? The past few months where RF has been changed on RO has made an unfair advantage for players. It also makes myself and others wish they waited to breed 🙃 Edited at July 1, 2025 11:06 PM by LostCause

Probably not since I've already put it in. It's not a big change. I am only doing small tweaks.
