So I have this awesome little mare, and now I'm having a crisis about how to match her. Mare in QuestionI was originally going to pair her with Tangaroa because he's the first stud since Everest to be up in Intelligence, which is a big weak point for all my mares. Hes #8 WBLB so within my prefered range, plus he comes silver and homozygous tobiano. The debate is: Lethe is higher on the WBLB (#4) so I don't know if that makes him a better option? He's not particularly strong in Int but decently enough for me, plus theyve already produced a WWW (but that could be maidan luck). He's also ee and I'm trying to breed chestnuts into my barn (basically all my mares are EE grullos :/). Another thing to consider is that her second embryo last year is paired to Lethe, so she'll have a foal from him this RO anyways if the owner uses the embryo. . I don't really mind experimenting most months, but I just remember that she's a full sibling to the #3 WBLB and has great training, so I want to pick the best stud for her potential debut on the boards in two days (if her 2nd embryo from last month is used). I really want to finally crack the top 20 since all my mares end up sitting between 21 and 29 😅 |

I'd probably keep using Lethe. Besides Tangaroa's Int, they don't look like a great match, since with her wk 14, it seems they're both weaker in Mv and Scp. Also with her wk 14, it looks like she may not actually be that weak in Int, and as you said, Lethe is still decently strong there. Since they also already produced a WWW and Lethe is higher on the LB, there's not that much going for Tangaroa, although his color would be nice. |

I would personally opt for Lethe. Lethe covers her for scp, which she's more weak in, and Tanga is pretty mid for it. Tanga is also weak in mv, like she is too. Lethe is a better match overall. And if you're trying to aim for more chestnut wubs, rather than silver, or grullo that would further make him a better consideration :) |
