This is my first time posting in forums but I thought this was the place for this question.

I was wondering what people look for in broomares if they use them. I have been making a kind of passive income off of my mares each game year by putting them up for public breeding for cheap and seeing who takes them and not worrying too much about if they go or not. But I was wondering what breeds and ratings people look for so that I might get them bred faster and get some mares that people want to breed with.

Typically, I'm looking to complete a quest or to test my freshmen SD studs. For quests, I always look for mares that are gene tested or have genes written in their name (such as ZZ or ToTo) because people will often call attention to homogeneous traits.

For my freshmen, I look for W mares, typically the same breed as the stud (so RID or KNN) but then I just look for cheap mares of any breed when the price for the breed I want exceeds ~20k/mare.

Oh I always use broods for my quests. Just looking for mares with the patterns the quests are asking for. Preferably the homo versions of it. I don't care if they are gene tested because I know what they look like, except the silver and rabi, those you can't tell by looking at them. But tobi, sabino, and splash are the main ones. And PPP+ is preferable, but I also use SSS+ if I have EEE+ studs to breed to them. :)

Color mares for quests are great i normally look for EEE+ mares for quests but I also like WW+ girls with good training and good foals. And for me I do like bravery mares ones with E or W bravery

It really depends, if I am breeding for a quest's then am looking for broodmare that are cheaper to fill the quest often PPP or up.

Like breed silver quest or dun quest stuff like that.

But when breeding for normal I tend to look for EEE mares with some track training.

I love EEE mares that have a splash of color to, to pair to my stallion.

Price is a big factor because am all ways looking for a deal 😂

Hi, have a look at my brood mare barn. They all sell out by year end.

Don't worry about offering W mares as many quests get you to breed e.g. tobiano pp foal. So there is generally no necessity to invest in W mares to start with.

Gene testing is expensive but I do it as I'm so curious and people appreciate that info.

I find it a fun activity. :)

Color mares for quests, and low cost decently bred KNN mares. I have also started putting up my PEE KNN mares that I don't need to breed too, but will breed too when I get bored.
