Dixie snorted "were not leaving yet" she said as she glanced over at the other horses, quickly turning her head to face Tiger again, her attention on him Edited at April 27, 2023 07:13 PM by Sky Stables

(please tell me Moon is dreaming...) Phantom nodded agreeing before swiflty changing her direction. She kept her same pace at West sped up. He got to the bushes first then she did, slowly down to a walk she peeped through the bushes as well

(Okay, that's fine, just checking!) - West's nose twitched. He smelled... "Smoke!" West gasped, taking off at a canter towards the smell. Every step sent pain shooting up his leg, but he didn't care. West could barely make out a burning tree... with a horse trapped inside. "MOON!" he bellowed, panic flaring in his eyes. West didn't know what to do... so he did the thing he knew best. West went to the stream right near by and tried to kick as much water onto the fire as he could. Then he rolled in the water, getting his pelt soaked. West closed his eyes, knowing Phantom would kill him. He took a deep breath and held it, racing in and slamming against the tree with all his force. Flames started singing his pelt and burning agony ripped through his flanks and his back... but the water kept the fire from killing him. Yet. West had pushed hard enough the tree moved just enough to make a gap large enough for Moon to run out. He staggered out of the smoke, coughing and hacking.

Moon stood in shock for a moment before kicking up dirt, barreling through the gap West had made, but stopped right after she was outside the tree. "WEST!" She neighed. "Are you okay? I'm so sorry. I'm so, so, sorry."

West shook his head, almost like he was asking for a moment. He coughed again, trying to clear the smoke from his lungs, "I'm fine..." he finally said, his voice raspy. "Just a little burnt. It's all good." West coughed, glancing at his back. Some of his hair and been singed off, and his back was burnt and blistering... but not as bad as it felt like.

Dixie's ears pricked in the directions of the the crack of burning branches. Dixie snorted and tossed her head as she trotted a few steps away from Tiger.

Phantom ears flicked wildly, she heard crackling. It sounded like fire... FIRE! She took off cantering with West seeing the smoke and ashes all in the air. She looked in the middle seeing little Moon, she franticly looked for a way to get her out. Phantom followed West over to the stream helping to kick water on the fire but it was no use. Suddenly West dropepd to the ground rolling around in the river -What is he about to do...- She couldn't even blink before he stormed off into the fire."WEST WHAT THE HECK-" She was surprised and worried, the fire could kill him instantly but all she could do was sit there and hope that he somehow made it out ok. As soon as he came out she quickly checked him over, she understanding what he meant when he shook his head. She turned her attention to Moon "Moon are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" She asked this calmly trying to not show the panic that she was feeling. As she waited for Moon to answer she walked over to West, she examined all the burnt hair and blistering wounds. He was lucky that it was just that, thigns could've ended up much worse for him, she walked up beside him quietly saing so that he could hear it "Are you seriously okay? We can wait one more day before moving just so you can rest..." She wasn't sure of it was the best idea for him to be moving around especially with the wounds he had.

West blinked till his vision went from blurry to clear. He took a deep breath and didn't cough... that was good. He glanced at Phantom with a wince. "...sorry. I really don't feel that bad... its just a little painful." West murmured, his ears flattened to his head. He glanced over at Moon, hoping she wasn't injured. West shook his head, clearing his vision again. His back was starting to hurt more... that couldn't be a good sign. He sighed and turned to where the herd was, keeping stationary but watching that way
