West's head was a turmoil of shadows and sludge, darkness, defeat. He never thought he'd be admitting it to himself, but he felt too old and run down to move on. Suddenly a rustle in the bush made him jump, Mystery's golden pelt flashed away, her words blurred, wolves darted, and he froze a second before leaping into action. He tried to follow, but two of the wolves hung back, as if keeping him there. He was too weak to fully defend himself, and ended up with blood trickling out of multiple deep wounds on his chest and shoulders. After the wolves retreated, near nighttime, a wisp of determination finally found him, and he set out on trying to find Mystery. If his whole life had fallen apart, she was the one bright lamp that kept him going. He wasn't losing her now. West followed the faint scent trail for miles, until finally it faded entirely. He frantically turned, picked it up again, and quickened his pace into a stumbling canter when the scent got stronger. Just a glimpse of her tear stained face and bloody, sweaty, dirty golden coat shattered his heart even more than it already was. "Mystery- I'm so sorry I let the wolves herd you away. Are you mostly semi okay?" He asked, his voice hoarse from years of neglect and wandering. All in all, he was a sorry sight, nothing like the strong leader the herd had last seen him as. His mane and tail lay in limp knots, his coat was dull, his ribs Jutted out through his sides, and he had gained many more scars. Despite this, he was already rushing around to find moss and a water source, coming back to gently dab the small wounds she had acquired.

(im at my barn and this pigen than now ghost walked with westery through the woods before smelling a old wolf sent he tried to call and see if mystery or west was nere bye "Mystery!! West!!!"he yelled before talking to the filly next to him

"westery try calling your mum and dad" he told her before troting a bit deeper in the woods

(okay I'm playing on my tv so bare with me, I'm going to post but please try not to respond just yet cause it's not gonna be finished, since I'm on a TV I'll have to post a piece of it then constantly edit my post so that the game doesn't just log me out again lol)

(Wild, oh i was just making up a story about HOW West and Mystery got split lol but if you want to go this direction then that'll be fun :) )

(Ghost, Mystery and West aren't actually in the same forest lol, cause otherwise West probably would've recognized the area and found his way home a while ago, the main idea was to keep Mystery and West away for a while till the RP had grown a little i guess lol)

____________ Mystery

Mystery laid under the cave structure trying to stop herself from crying, knowing that it wouldn't help with anything, she tried to imagine ffinding her way back home to the herd where those precious foals she missed would be waiting for her, and West would be back to his strong, relentless, cheery, happy and healthy self again. She wasn't anywhere near as skinny and boney as West was due to the fact of there not being enough food for them both, she would constantly try and make him eat more, but he'd resist just so she could, though she wasn't as completely healthy as she'd made West believe, she'd started getting fevers during a few nights lately, and she was also becoming sick over time, but she didn't want to worry the caring stallion any further. Mystery jolted back to reality as she heard fumbling coming through the bushes, a huge relief hitting her when she saw West's face come through the dark. She struggled to her hooves but looked relatively normal, she couldn't believe he found her "West... Are you ok? I'm sorry I got separated... I hope you aren't hurt" Mystery said softly before ever so gently nuzzling his blood stained shoulder "I thought I lost you for a second..." She muttered, Mystery's gaze broke into sorry sadness when... What was left of the stallion she loved and cared for suddenly darted around trying to help HER tiny scratches, this whole time Mystery tried to remain strong for West, but she could feel herself breaking each day as West grew weaker... Mystery winced a little at the wet moss touching her fresh cuts, she looked at him out of the corner of her eye "West, I'm ok. My wounds aren't that bad... So instead of using the water on me, you should be drinking it to regain some strength to move forward" Mystery suggested, she quickly laid down from not feeling so well but acted like she was tired, she glanced at West "Here, come lay down, you should rest. Your canter is also becoming slow which is a sign of exhaustion." Mystery offered gesturing to a spot next to her "I'll do my best to keep you warm. And since i don't think we'll be chased by those wolves again, I can finally tell you what seemed so important to say earlier, if you wanted to know..." Mystery said the last bit slowly half hoping West DIDN'T want to know, she didn't want to put any more stress or fear/worry onto him, but at the same time she thought he deserved to know.

California smiled at Ghost "I know you're not that old" She said softly giving him a smile as he left, her attention was then brought to Navy who had approached her "Yes, I'm sad you never got to meet our parents too... Which is weird for me to say, dad's literally ALWAYS been the leader, here to meet and greet everyone, alongside mum, she would ALWAYS welcome the new horses, she was unconditionally kind to everyone she met, and always brought tasty apples for us, and dad tought us about lots of stuff about the land, his herd, aaand what to do in dangerous situations" Cali explained before sighing "Since they disappeared, me and Sol had to step up and take care of the herd, I'll admit it hasn't been hard to run the herd, no stallions trying to challenge my brother and no huge drama for us to deal with. But it hasn't been easy either, I can't wait for dad and mom to come back, dad can lead the herd again and mum can be here for us" Cali finished, she gave a smile in return "No you don't need to do anything, but I was just about to go out and look for them again, did you want to come with me?" She asked tilting her head

She glared at Ghost, a spark of hope flashing in her eyes "Oh okay. Muuuum, daaaaad! Can you hear me!?" Westery called out the top of her lungs hoping her mommy or daddy would hear her call

West looked relieved when Mysterty stood and spoke, but it hurt so much more to be reminded how weak she was- and how weak he was, but that didn't matter. "Aw stop apologizing- you should no by now you NEVER have ANYTHING to apologize about. I am perfectly fine, for the moment." He held the slightest joking tone to his voice at first, but even words could be tiring. Continuing to gently treat what he could of her wounds, his drained, exhausted brown eyes filling with regret as he yet again berated himself for not trying harder with the wolves, or at least done something more. "You can't get rid of me that easily." West commented with a weak smile. As Mystery spoke and laid down he sighed heavily. "When will you begin to understand me? The two things that are keeping me going are you and our Foals. If I let you grow weaker and weaker then I am slowly losing one of the most precious things in my life. I would never be able to keep going." He paused to speak as steadily and firmly as he could, walking over and gently nuzzling her neck. "But I do agree with you on the resting part, for once." He added with a quiet, small snort, sinking to the ground beside her with a wince of pain and closing his eyes for a second to get rid of the dizziness that swirled around his head. "I would live to know your thoughts." He mumbled with a small crack of a weary smile, opening his eyes and lifting his head slightly to look at her. He may be battered ans broken ans bruised and beaten, but he would always keep fighting for the things he loved the most.

Navy listened quietly to Cali's stories of the two, seeing how sad this made the mare and feeling sad herself. Why did those wolves ever have to come? She had heard that story many times. "They sound like amazing horses." She bowed her head slightly, knowing she could not fully share in the sorrow Sol and Cali and Westery must experience every day. That's why she wanted to do the best she could being helpful and working, because maybe somehow that would help. "Of course I'll help look. Anything for you and Sol." Navy answered ans lifted her head.

ghost turned his head "come on westery lets head back" he said turning around and walking back to the herd he took a diffrent route to check all of the boundrys when they got back to the her he troted up to navy and cali "all good other then a old wolf sent maby 2 weeks" he said shaking his head
