Val /// 4 /// Bachelor /// Stallion Val wondered as he grazed, moving back and fourth similar a magnet. Still thinking about the herd he saw still tempted him to go down the ridge, but he had a brain and assumed that there was a Lead Stallion already down there, protecting and willing to face danger head on. Maybe one day he'll be similar to the stallion with the herd, maybe greater than him! But the idea quickly left his mind as he continued slowly grazing, unconsciously moving closer to the ridge. Once he was close enough he rolled his light bronze eyes and carefully walked to the edge. He watched and tried to listen, but it wasn't working out in any way, so to gather a bit more information he flared his upper lip, taking in any smells that were interesting, so far the stallion was the only thing of any interest, besides the mares of course, but now knowing a little more about the herd he slowly moved away from the ridge. As he went back to grazing he was thinking about the exact number of horses he smelled. There was one stallion that's for sure, but the number of mares was unknown, they all smelled the same except one. Most likely that one mare was newer or she's a loner and just stumbled at the wrong place at the wrong time and the wind carried her smell, but he didn't dwell on the thought too much for now. |

Scarab | Stallion | 4 | Palamino | Bachelor | Scarab had his head and tail held high, he'd broken off from the bachelor band to get a better scope of his surroundings, so now he was stretching his legs. Scarab pulled himself forward and out of the crop of trees he had been in, his pelt glossy with a coating of the heavy drops that had managed to filter in through the leaves. He tossed his head, his hooves kicking up sand as he bronced, simply enjoying his own energy. He broke into a gallop moments later just because he could. Scarab let the new sunlight warm him and loosen his extending muscles as he made light work of covering the ground distance. It wasn't long however, before the wind turned and brought the scent of other horses to him. He slowed to a stop, bouncing slightly on his feet as he did so. Mares and a stallion, so it was a herd.

Curious and full of courage, Scarab turned. He made his way closer, until the herd was in view. He knew they could see him too. He didn't try to appear inconspicuous, he stood tall. He was a similar size to the lead from what he could tell. Younger though...he wouldn't challenge him yet. Although maybe even standing here was a challenge. Scarab called out, his tail whipping from one side to the other. He wanted to see what they might do. If he had to run he would, Scarab had always enjoyed games of chase. |

Gunnya | Lead stallion | Band A | M: herd mares - Gunnya moved heavily, unbothered with trying to be quiet, as he was at his peak. Nothing would even bother aside from men, who were starting to creep into the National park. The lead stallions hooves cut deep into the mud, his muscle mass at fault. Gunnya snorted, snot and steam blowing from his nostrils. His tail arched as he continued to trot, hoping to get somewhere safe before they had to stop for the night. Gunnya looked around, his ears pricked and alert. Gunnya moved out of in between Amira and Thistle, "Alright, I do know that Navi can be a little ungentle towards new mares" Gunnya said, confusion boiling through him when he saw the huge gap between him and Amira. Gunnya cast a suspicious expression towards her as she left, not for the sake of Navis assumptions, but for his own, why was she avoiding him? Gunnya felt worry curl through his body, he never really went through this with his other mares, they trusted him. Gunnya scored a peak at Amira again, did he scare her? Was that it? Gunnya lowered his head slightly, looking closely at the ground Infront of him. Self-anger curled in on him, he didn't make Amira distrustful towards him, right? And Navi couldn't of done nothing to bad, he knows that she has been ungentle towards newer mares, but nothing this serious. Right?
Gunnya frowned, he would freak this case, he knew it. He just had to fix what was going on with Amira first. |

Cinder | Mare | 5 | Bay w/Forehead Star | M; Gunnya, Val (Unknowingly) . Her hooves trudging through the wet ground as Cinder kept up with the herd, she definitely needed more of this. Her nostrils flared as she snorted clearing her nostrils to help with more air intake as she kept her pace, the mare was still a little fleshy in her belly area from the last foaling season combined with the lush grass over winter. Cinder still thought about that foal sometimes, its small damp frame laying still in the grass. She never figured out what happened to it but she had hopes that her next foal would be alive and full of energy, looking over at Gunnya for a moment watching as he led the herd, she trusted him. . After a few moments passed the only thought on the bays mind was a nice long stream of water, her throat was dry even though the weather itself wasnt exactly dry lately. Lowering her head she managed to picked a mouthful of reeds whilst keeping her tempo, chewing the grass in her mouth the water that clung to the leafy greens helped moisten her tounge a little. Her black tail swished behind her as she watched the band slowly but surely reach their destination but there was something different, on the air she was picking up a different scent something similar to Gunnya but at the same time different. She shot Gunnya a look of unease as she observed their surroundings but she kept on, her ears listening out as the band moved. |

________ Amira | Band A The mare cantered near Cinder for a quarter of the travel, not giving glances to anyone but the road ahead, all she wanted was to be a good herd mare, and that is what she'll focus on. As the band traveled at their somewhat fast pace Amira shook her head and blew out her nostrils heavily when a small bug flew up her nose. As it began to get late in the afternoon Amira's energy just got lower and lower, to the point she wanted to stop for water, and so she did, slowly drifting away from the band unnoticed. Amira slowed to a walk to catch her breath, watching as the herd got smaller and smaller, she walked in a slight different direction trying to find a river or pond. About ten minutes of walking by herself Amira finally caught sight of a small stream, the mare sped into a trot and stopped at the waters edge, lowering her head and drinking deeply, swatting unwanted flies with her tail. After filling up with water Amira turned and trotted at a considerable pace back to where she last saw the herd, she lowered her head and sniffed the ground to find the mares and stallion's scent, once she picked up the fading smell of horses Amira picked up a slow canter. Eventually catching up to them _________ Midnight | Band B The blue roan mare finally got the itch she was rolling for, she remained there on her back letting the warm sun land on her belly. Midnight could almost fall asleep to this comfortable position, she finally rolled onto her side, stretching her long neck and shaking her mane to help rid the dirt and flakes of mud, her ears flickered back then forward as Bracken came close, she watched the stallion graze for a minute. When Bracken invited her to graze the grass with him Midnight snorted wanting to decline the offer, but her need to socialize took over and she raised herself from the ground, she didn't move closer, just stayed where she was and grazed. Eventually the grazing mare moved half a meter closer to the lead stallion without realizing. Out of the corner of her mouth Midnight nickered "Well, it's good to have another blue roan in the herd" She tried to sound nice to somewhat welcome Bracken at last |

Val /// 4 /// Bachelor /// Stallion After a little while of doing absolutely nothing but eat and wait he began getting a bit thirsty himself, so out of a bit of laziness he wondered and took tiny sips from water puddles that still lingered on the ground. Upon drinking from the largest one his mouth was immediately hit with a earthly and mineral flavour, but if course, he didn't care and continued to drink. After his fill of water he went back to the ridge, which he named, 'Far Look Point', only to find that the herd that he's been politely stalking was gone. Confusion came first, then fear and finally a hard shot of panic, halfway desperate he smelled the air, he knew he wasn't going to get far unless he goes down there and physically tracks them, which he waisted no time in doing, so he began slowly walking down the side of the ridge, rocks and small pebbles slipping under his weight as he got closer and closer until he made it, instantly sniffing around the area, so with the information of the general direction of where they were going, he began to trot, looking around as he did so, casually swishing his tail and shaking his head. |

Royal//3//Band B//Mare The mare grazed at the small patch of grass she had found her tail swatting at the flies biting at her coat she looked up stomping her hoof in frustration and shaking out her body. the sun beat down harshly on her and her coat shined with sweat.
she lifted her head smelling the air she swore she could smell a small herd somewhere nearby and her ears pinned lifting her head again and breathing in she couldnt smell them anymore but she remained tense and alert. Her hoof pawed anxiously at the ground and her nostrils flaired again a small part of her hoping it wasnt ger imaginenation. But what if it was? What if she was forever alone of the rest of her life? Her head lowered the thoughts running through her head making her sad but she couldn't let that stop her she walked forward a couple steps again her head lifting and her nostrils flaring she could for sure smell the herd this time she lifted her head letting out a sharp whinny. But she instantly regretted it, she hardly wanted to be in a herd but she knew her chances of survival without one was low.
she hated to admit it but she was lonely lifting her head one more time she let out another whinny her body tense and alert hoping for a reason. She pawed at the dirt sending a cloud of dust around her body. 'Is someone really there? Or is my mind playing tricks on me again?' She asked herself |

Kiki | Mare | 3 | Band B | M: Bracken, Scarab, Royal, herd mares - The sunlight warmed Kiki's back as she grazed on a patch of fresh grass. The breeze blew past her, ruffling her mane and carrying an unfamiliar scent to her nose. A stallion, only one. She paused, raising her head to look around. She noticed a palomino stallion watching the herd, most likely a bachelor. Was he here to try and steal a mare? Her eyes flicked back to Bracken. No, he would keep them safe...right? Slightly unsettled, Kiki moved closer to the other mares, tail swishing from side to side. She heard a whinny. Was that a mare? Kiki looked around again, peering into the distance. "Um, hello? Is anyone there?" She took a few bold steps forward then called out again. Her body was tense until she noticed the figure of a horse. Kiki slowly walked over, her caring nature taking over. "Do you need help?" |

Val /// 4 /// Bachelor /// Stallion Val continued trotting, occasionally stopping for a breather or to find tracks, of courase the more he moved the closer he was getting to the mystery herd. As usual, he was thinking and too busy trying to entertain himself, bunny hoping or arching his neck and rearing up, normal Val activities. ... As the young stallion continued to trot, he wasn't really paying attention to his surroundings which caused him to walk past some bushes, which contained some birds, obviously the large horse startled the birds so they took to the sky. Of course, Val wasn't expecting a bunch of bright coloured birds to appear out of no where, so he spooked and took off running. As he ran his muscles and hind legs propelled him forward while his front legs pulled him. The dirt and pebbles that flung up and hit him on his hind quarters made him kick out once or twice, but eventually he made his way up a small hill that had a small stream running past. He halted, Putting all his weight on his haunches and came to a slow walk, now near the water's edge he lowered his head and drank, and soon enough he heard the call of a somewhat nearby horse, so he let out a short and simple whinny and continued drinking. |
