West stopped and turned to face her. "It's right there. Then you can rest." He said, but inside he was mentally berating himself for pushing her too hard. He should have been more careful. Or insisted she didn't go. Why was he always so caught up in his own problems!? +selfish horse+ he thought angrily, letting out a slow breath and walking beside her to support her as they walked forward the couple more feet. Down the hill should be easy.

Dixie leaned significantly on him, taking as much pressure off her legs as possible. She sighed as she pushed herself to the top of the hill

West tensed slightly to not lean at all as Dixie leaned on him. They made it to the top of the hill, where he stopped- this was the hill he usually stood on. The one everyone joked was *his hill*. They could stop there. "Are you okay?" He asked quietly.

"Yeah. I just need to lay down a second" she laid down in the grass, breathing calmly.

West stood protectively next to her as she laid down, mostly because he could see a tiny bullet barreling towards them. - Ebony spotted a dapple grey stallion and a appy bay mare crest the hill. She squealed with happiness- it had been days! Then took off as fast as she could go, her legs too long for her body yet still rocketing her forward. She skidded to a sort of halt in time to smash into West's legs and almost take him out. "WEST WEST WEST DIXIE DIXIE DIXIE!" She chanted happily. "You're finally back!!!!!!" - West let out a slight yelp as his legs practically bowed inward, and he stumbled backwards, almost losing his balance and just toppling over, which honestly would've been easier. He managed to stay standing, smiling faintly. "We are back."

Dixie giggled as Ebony attacked West "where's mine!" She asked with a smile. She stood, lowering her head over Ebony's body.

Ebony's head shot up and she bumped Dixie's neck with a grin. "Are you okay? You look exhausted." She asked, her little voice innocently concerned. - The stallion smiled a little at the foal and the mare, lowering his head to gently touch Ebony's back with his muzzle. "I'm glad we're home."

"West made me walk a bunch" she replied with a grin as her eyes traveled up to West.
