West glanced at Lily and lifted his head a a little, looking back towards where the men disappeared. "I'm fine.." He answered quietly. He would get her out. Soon. He owed Lily at least that much, to get her out of this wretched place.

(Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I've been gone for my brother's surgery! He's doing great, by the way :D)

Lily glanced at West, then at the building the men had gone into. Why oh why do things like this have to happen?? West deserves better. Much better, Lily thought, sighing and going to take a drink of water from the provided trough. "Do you think... I mean, what do you think they're going to do with us?" She asked, not looking at West's face. "Will they... Kill us? Eat us? Do something else horrible? I mean, they captured us, right? So they've got to be doing something bad. Right?" She took a long drink after this, then finally looked up at West.

Oh, I'm sorry but that's good! I hope he heals well!))

West turned to the grass, taking a couple mouthfulls to soothe his rolling stomach. He flicked his ears and took a dep breath, sniffing his shoulder. The wound was deep enough where his muscle showed... which wasn't a good sign... and it was probably infected, but at the moment he could probably do something. "They aren't going to do anything. I'm getting us out of here." he said with a steely gaze, limping forward and scanning the ground for something. West saw the type of flower he was looking for, grabbing it and chewing it into a pulp. West then licked the pulp onto his wound. It stung at first, but then his gash went numb. "Blue violets. They have a special mineral to numb wounds. If I can't feel the pain, it won't hold me back." West snorted, trotting back to the wooden fence and scanning it for weak spots.

Lily kept her gaze on West as he answered and covered his wound. "Yay... More wounds for you." She muttered to herself as West trotted away. Suddenly, Lily realized she had no idea where they were. She knew they were in this pasture-thing obviously, but she had no idea what was around it. Maybe West knew. He had chased the thing that took her away, after all. Maybe he had seen where they were. Lily antered over to West and asked him what she had been thinking. "Do you know where we are? If we get out of here, do you know which way to go? I mean, you followed me here. Maybe you noticed a landmark or something...?" Lily was growing more and more sure that they were stuck here for good. But West being positive made her feel more confident, so she would be brave for him.

West glanced at Lily. "Well, I did get all the way here without passing out sooo... I saw some things. If we go out this way there will be the road that the thing brought you in on, and if we follow that we will get back." He sounded confident, though inside he felt lightheaded, queasy, worried, anxious, unhappy, and faint. West finally found a weak spot and, without further ado, rammed it as hard as he could. The wood splintered and broke, collapsing outward. "The humans would have heard that, let's go!" West said to Lily, pushing aside the wreckage to make a clearer path for her. Thankfully this was an outside pasture so nothing lay between them and the road.

Lily listened to West without saying anything. She tested her legs, walked back a few paces, and leapt over the rest of the wreck and cantered out, looking back to see if West had followed. "Hurry!" She neighed, slowing to a trot.

West took off in as fast of a canter he could sustain, hearing shouts from behind him. He broke into a gallop and pushed towards the woods near the road.

Seeing West coming, she leapt into a fast canter, looking back to see the humans getting in their truck. She looked ahead again and surged into a gallop, kicking up as much dust as she could to confuse the humans. West was in front of her now, and she could see that it pained him to run this fast, but she had to urge him on. She neighed encouragement as she sped up, the muscles in her body stretching to their full extent.
