The next morning, Lilac went to the stream to take a drink...her last drink here. She saw Wildfire come out of the cave, she blushed and looked away to her reflection in the water.

Wildfire looked back, "Goodnight Lilac." He started to walk the edge of the field to check before it got too late. The soft swish of the grass around his ankles and the sound of the crickets and frogs soothed him. The stars still made him so awe-struck. As he finished his loop, he bedded down in the soft, tall, grass. He kept his ears perked, swiveling at every noise, his eyes, accustomed to the darkness, wide and alert. Everything was calm, so soothing...

Lilac went around waking up the herd, the foals were expecially hard to wake, they were very deep sleepers. "Farnight, can you help me get the herd up? We need to leave soon, I smelt a cougar eairlier this morning." Lilac nickered a the young stallion. She swished her tail, she was also kind of happy that they were leaving...the flies are awful.

"Of course, Just let me get a drink," Farnight said lazily. He got up and wandered to the stream, bending his neck to take a sip. The landscape is really beautiful here, it's a shame we have to leave, he thought. The cold fall sun was shining on his back, and making his bay coat a golden brown. He walked over to the rest of the herd, where they were sleeping, and said "Get up everyone, we have got to leave now."

"Okay, thank you" Lilac nodded and said to the herd, "Finish getting all of your stuff together we leave in two hours.". She was excited about where they might be going next, a whole new place to explore...but that also means new dangers. The herd will have to keep up, she told them this morning to fill their stomaches before the journey, food might be scarce...

Tigress knew they were leaving soon. She took one last galnce around her at the beautiful, rolling green feilds. She wished they could have stayed here. As Farnight helped round up the herd she made her way towards Wildfire. It was their job to protect the herd while Lilac led them to new grounds.

" Good morning." She said cheerily. " The stars last night, they were gorgeous weren't they?" She tried to make conversation, but felt kind of awkward doing so, normally she minded her own business, just doing her job and nothing else.

Farnight approached Lilac with caution, wondering if she still trusted him. The dewy grass brushed against his legs, and the fall sun was warm, rejuvenating and peaceful. "Where are we going next?" He inquired.

"We keep going west, thats where the herds are going...once we like a place we have to scan and make sure its safe. Its nice out today." Lilac felt the sun warming her black coat, she nickered and continued on, walking so everyone could keep up.
