She nodded, still wondering if she had done something. When he laid down, some worry disappeared from her face. She was still worried, but him being closer made her feel better. She reached her head out to bump him lightly on the shoulder. "I'm better now" she looked away "I don't know if she told you... but Scarlet left..." Dixie looked away with a sad look in her eye, one tear rolling down. - Scarlet watched as the grulla stallion, Foster, walked closer. "Have you been around these parts?" He asked, tilting his head at the white mare. She was three years old now, but she still felt so young. She side stepped away and looked at him "nope. Super new. New new actually. Never met. You. " she stumbled over her words

West wasn't convinced, because the worried look was still there, but he chalked it up to Dixie being worried about Scarlet. As she talked about the filly... wait no, the mare... he sighed. "Scarlet it 3 years old now... I understand being sad about her leaving but I'm guessing she's feeling what all normal horses her age feel. She wants to find a mate, wants to explore. My hope is that she will come back to at least visit... she won't ever forget you or Macy, I promise. She's young- she has time." He said quietly, trying to cheer Dixie up.

Dixie nodded again then turned, keeping her eyes locked on Wests. "What if she gets lost. What if she can't find anyone. What if she gets hurt! West!" Dixie tried to jump up but failed, putting pressure on her leg in the process. She shrunk back down in pain. - Scarlet and Foster walked through the leaves and the forest, talking about who they were and things about themselves. "I'm three" Scarlet said, her head high. The stallion was way taller, standing at 17 hh while Scarlet was a mere 14.5 hh, just over pony height. Foster flicked his ears. "Youngsters shouldn't be out by themselves! I'm 8!" Foster steppes away, unsure of what to do.

West let out a slow breath. He worried about EVERYTHING, and his worry for this was gnawing away at his mind, and Dixie made it ten times worse. Those what-ifs swirled around like thunder clouds in his brain. However, he kept it together on the outside. "She can take care of herself. Sometimes you have to learn lessons the hard way... Scarlet will come back if it gets too much for her to handle. She may get hurt along the way, but that is part of growing- you can't learn from a mistake if you never make a mistake." he said soothingly, although on the inside he was screaming. "Don't try to get up- you need to rest."

Dixie laid her head down next to West, in desperate need of mental comfort. She sprawled out, keeping her head by gif front legs. "Ok..." - Scarlet snorted at the stallion "you are only 5 years older than me Mr. High-and-Mighty. Don't give me that!" Scarlet trotted away from him. "Hey wait!" He trotted after her, his ping strides taking half the amount of steps as her short legs. He slowed to a walk beside her. West lowered his head to gently rest his muzzle on Dixie's neck. If his words didn't comfort her, at least his prescence could.

Dixie was slowly getting her thoughts back. She moved her head up and down the ground, scratching his muzzle against her neck. "I'm itchy" she said, raising her head a little to get it to actually scratch. - Scalret didn't know why Dawn followed her. She trotted away, Foster right on her tail. The grulla stallion stayed with her as she trotted through the woods. "Why are you following me?" She asked, playfully flicking her tail in his face. He snorted and continued on without a word. "Why?" She asked. "Why? Because you are pretty and I want to know where you came from." She slid to a stop, the stallion running into her. "I came from Wests herd. Do you know who that is?" The stallion shook his head. "Nope " "well then" she started "todays your lucky day" the pushed through the woods into the field, looking around.
