West let out a low huff at Dixie's words, his head dropping slightly. "If I'm not the leader who will be? What if someone or something comes when I'm just passed out on the ground taking a nap? It is my job to help protect these mares, whether they need it or not. That includes you, and you do need it." He answered quietly, closing his eyes for a moment and letting out a sigh. When he opened his eyes his gaze quickly trailed to Mystery, who seemed... upset. Or just sad? He didn't really know. Was it his fault? What had he done this time? Or, was it just the stress of Flame? West had no answered, but he had millions of questions.

Dixie sighed "fine." She decided to stand. "Then I will stay with you." She gave a huff as she stood. "I may not be hateful,but I am still strong willed and determined. Don't underestimate me" she joked, leaning against him.

West let out a low snort, his ears flicking with slight annoyance. "You shouldn't be standing yet." He grumbled, but he knew it would do no good. "I wasn't going to move, so even if you were laying down you'd be with me." He pointed out.

Dixie looked away. "Well I am just bound and determined aren't I?" She nickered slightly.

Scarlet and Mystery took after Mystery. "Hey what's wrong?" Macy asked

West laughed a little. "I guess. And I guess that is a good thing." He shook his mane.

Dixie hobbled a few steps and looked back at West. "Dixie here reporting for duty West sir!" (I just watched paw patrol because of my sister lol) she tossed her head at Lazarus followed her. He was walking fine but his breathing was a little raspy.

West snorted a little and followed, heading more towards the stream and water, but keeping next to Dixie to help her walk.

Dixie kept hobbling, her leg becoming more and more painful. She continued walking, keeping her leg off the ground. When they reached the water, she plopped, splashing West. "Sorry sorry sorry! Don't splash me!" She looked around , noticing that Lazarus was in the water too, growling and licking his side.

West stopped near the river, deciding not to move any further. When Dixie plopped down and splashed him he just smiled a little. "I'm not going to splash you, chill out before you bust a socket." He snorted jokingly, glancing at Laz

Mystery turned to Warri and Scarlet as they followed and asked if she was okay. Feeling bad that even THEY noticed her strange behaviour lately, she thought carefully about what to say when she ended up just nodding then shaking her head with a chuckle "Oh I'm fine, thank you though! Don't worry about this old golden girl, I'm just tired" Mystery insisted on keeping her secret, she LOVED West, cause he was her best friend! And LOVED Dixie, cause she was almost like a little sister! and she LOVED that those two liked each other! When Macy asked if they were made to meet, Mystery wasn't lying, Mystery admired the fact they FINALLY know how they both feel about each other! Plus Mystery isn't a horrible mare (Like Electra) She hates the thought of jealousy, and it would absolutely BREAK Mystery's heart if SHE got between them, the perfect pair. So Mystery decided its best NOT to TELL ANYONE about how she was feeling deep down about the stallion! After all... Rumors DO spread So she kept her mouth shut about that topic
