Evelyn got back to her dorm room. She stripped off her boots, that were now soaked through and removed the cold clothes she was wearing before heading into the bathroom. She turned on the shower, her teeth starting to chatter while she waited for it to warm up. She got in the shower and sighed, her thoughts turning to Apex and how the striding to the water jump was all wrong. After she was done, she got changed into some fresh warm clothes, tying her blonde hair back out of her face, before heading out for a little wander of the corridors, as the students finished riding for the day. She navigated down a long hall, dark oak frames lined the wall. She peered at them all taking in the variety of horses and their riders who have won events over the years. She paused at one particular picture recognising the horse. She peered closer, her eyes widened. "Apex, 2022 eventing winner" She read off the plaque beneath the picture. She nodded to herself. "He's a capable horse". She sighed. He was nothing like the rodeo horses, mustangs and stocky quarter horses she rode back home. |

Caden finished the lesson before heading inside.Once he put Elysia up,he found the horse awards wall. "Elysian Warrior : 4 Year Dogwood Lake Invitational 5 1st Place Winner" Caden grinned. "I defanitly have a good chance of winning then.He walked back to his dorm before showering and finding his trainer. "Hey im Caden,im with Elysian Warrior." The trainer looked up. "Im Clay Rosen.5* Eventing Trainer.Good to meet you." Caden shook his hand. "Good to meet you to.So,whats the prize at the Inventational?" Clay paused. "A.) 25,000 $ . B.) A spot to nationals." Caden was shocked. "Wow,ok.When's out first lesson?" Clay heasitated. "Two days from now." |

Evelyn looked up to see the guy from earlier pass her. She watched him pass after also noticing his horse had been a winner one year. She went to find the trainer for their barn, Clay. She had already introduced herself by the time Caden had joined them. She stared at him, narrowing her gaze, trying to figure him out. She wasn't much for socialisation but she was great at people watching and a real good judge of character. Evelyn turned her head to Clay. "What will be our first assignment?" She asked. |

"First assignment,4 star XC course,Dressage test,and simple 1.50m showjumping course." Caden leaned on the doorframe. "Simple,Really.Two days from now,right?" Clay nodded his head. "Good.Took Elysia on the 5 star course and he dumped me in the ditch jump.Banged my leg but,other than that." Caden chuckled. "He sailed over those jumps.To be fair,he is 18.3 Hands so,might have a advantige being so tall.Dressage is my strongsuit,easy for me.Showjumping's also pretty simple but,it can be challengeing at times." Caden looked at the girl. "What's your name again?" His british accent slipping out once he asked. |

(Sorry, kinda confused as to what we're doing rn) Emma unpacked into the dresser that was there in the drom. She then took a shower and got dressed. She chose to wear a pair of Rock Revival jeans with a t-shirt that was just a good old plain black. She sighed as she ripped the brush through her slightly curly brunette hair. She cursed under her breath as she couldn't put it up without any bumps. She decided to just leave it as a messy bun and walked over, putting her sweatshirt on. The sweatshirt said "Arizona State Equestrian Team; Western Division" on the back. |

Once Caden learned the girls name,he waved and departed.He accidently bumped into a girl in the hallway. "Sorry about that." He mumbled as he walked to his dorm.Caden decided to take a walk outside.The chillier,frigid air of late august ran through his hair and slapped him to reality.This was'nt a dream,it was life.When he got accepted,his world changed.He'd be spending the next four years at the riding school,competing in higher levels with higher prizes each year.He managed his way to the Wolf Cafe and got himself a bagel,coffee,and his computer. |

Evelyn looked at the guy from earlier, she'd learned his name fron when he introduced himself to Clay. "Evelyn Drake" She said to him, when he asked. The instructor dismissed us, and bumped into Caden. She went to open her mouth to apologise but he beat her to it. She watched him walk off but decided to follow since her tummy was rumbling and it was practically lunch time. She sat down with a chicken and cheese wrap and an apple juice. She studied the cafe, a sort of more modern building compared to the ones surrounding it. She took in the people moving in and out having their lunch. |

Caden finished eating and took out a notebook.One of his classes,had asked him to draw the a.) anatomy of a horse b.) muscles of a horse.He worked the pencil on the paper,making intricite details on the muscles and anatomy.He then scanned it into his computer before uploading it onto DWLRA's assignment manager.He decided to head out,as he packed up everything.Caden then walked out of the cafe and to the barn.He found Elysia and watched the stallion gallop and buck with the other studs.Caden smiled and headed to the tack room to clean some stuff.Once he cleaned all his leather tack,he cleaned his boots and helmet.Finally,did Caden finish and grab Elysia's grain.The stallion came trotting and started munching on the grain as Caden stroked him. |

Emma walked down the hall, getting run into in the process, and down to the cafe. She ordered a peppermint mocha and a bagel. She got the coffee and food, sat down, and worked on homework. She looked at the questions on the screen of her laptop, thinking them over in her head. She was studying to have a Quarter Horse breeding facility once she was done here, so might as well focus on studying genetics. Emma sighed and threw away her trash and finished off her coffee. She ordered a blue rasberry, white Lotus, knowing it would be a long day. |

§ Caden Ortiz § "Elysia,are we going to win the inventational?" Elysia snorted. "I really hope thats a yes." Caden sighed before taking the stallions feed pan and storing it before heading back to his dorm. § Elysian Warrior § Elysia stood in his pasture,watching his rider de-part.The following day,he would not be ridden but lunged.He sighed and walked over to the pasture shed,nickering to the other horses as he went.Hunter,Elysia's friend,walked up.They sniffed eachother in a greeting before darting off,galloping and bucking.The two tossed a ball around,not a care in the world.The two were having fun,and thats all that mattered. |
