hunter walked back down from his cliff to speak with the mares before walking up to cowgirl "whats your name and were did you come from" he asked lowering his head so he looked a bit smaller

Cowgirl watched him carefully. "My name is Cowgirl, I'm from the northern valley." She started slowly "I was grazing peacefully under a tree, when something fell onto my back. It had started scratching and biting me, when I realized it was a Cougar. I took off running and bucking, trying to get it off of me. It finally fell off when I thought I was done for. I kept running, knowing it was chasing me. I ran for a good 30 minutes or so, it still in pursuit. I found one of your trails and heard a horse whinny, so I figured they could help me, but it backed off about 5 minutes before I came out of the trees. Then I met you, and you know the rest." hunter nodded at her story " im hunter i came from shadow hill herd kicked out started my own herd before it was stollen by a brother band of stallions i was speaking with a horse that had a story like yours " he said his eyes turned to sky winter storm and leaf

Her eyes filled with tears for him "I'm so sorry" she whispered. "As soon as I can move, I'll leave to keep it away from you... I don't have a herd, I'm just a lone mare, also kicked out of my herd. And so far no one wants me as one of their mares."
