As Phantom thought, West would never talk about another horse like that unless they were truly horrible. And Flame was. "I'd much rather Willow grow up thinking this poor old man is her father than knowing her father is a terrible horse. She will be much happier that way." He paused, grinning a little. "I think that's the first compliment I've got from you in... a year, actually. So thanks." West laughed, a teasing expression written across his face.

Willow trotted through the forest happily looking for something to do, she tripped into a small ditch, a high pitch whinnie escaping as she tumbled down. Once she was at the bottom she started to cry

She stayed her distance as she followed her filly so that Willow didn't know she was being followed, when she fell though, Mystery's heart began to race -Thank goodness I followed her- Mystery thought picking up into a canter "Willow!" She bellowed after her clumsy daughter as she watched the tumble. She felt her heart break when she heard the crying noises coming from her baby "Willow, wait there for me. I'm coming down" Mystery told Willow as she gracefully slid down the ditch, then using her muzzle to help push Willow back up "Oh my poor baby, are you okay?" She asked licking the dirt and stones out of Willows coat

Once Mystery got them both out of the ditch Willow jumped her body straight into her mothers chest and cuddled her, once she was cuddled up she stopped crying almost instantly "Mom that hurt" She muttered pouting her bottom lip

She smiled lovingly "Well you're not a little filly anymore, so you'll be fine, come on Willow, let's go home" She spoke softly and waited for Willow to get ready to head back to the herd, then started off

She sniffed and nodded "Yeah! Let's go home" She sung with a big smile as she followed Mystery back to the herd

Phantom nodded her head along with what West had to say. He was right about all of it, that poor yearling didn't need to know anything about her father as long as someone as great as West was present in her life there was no need to tell her of the other horrible one. At his tease she just rolled her eyes "Oh really? And that'll be the last one you ever get from me so you better savor it" Phantom teased right back at him with a small chuckle and her usual devious grin

West snorted, his ears swiveling slightly to make sure there wasnt anything around near the herd. Even talking to a friend he hadn't seen in quite a while he still tried to be extremely attentive to what was around the herd he vowed to protect. "Aww c'mon Phantom you know with my poor soft vulnerable heart I may just melt without any compliments." He pleaded, then switched with a twinkle in his eye "guess I'll have to rely on Willow to back me up and say I have no hard head." West sighed heavily, coughing slightly to cover up a laugh

athena wandered off to the waterfall her mother showed her. She didn't know why it was so special. As she sat there she saw a faint image in the reflection on the water. It showed a strange stallion coming into the herd than a fight. Athena soon went back to the herd. She'd turned cold. She wasn't the happy bold horse she was distant and just watched the herd.

Phantom could only shake her head at West's exaggerated responses -Guess somethings never changed- She chuckled in thought as she glanced over at West. "Okay fine, I guess I can give you a compliment from time to time so your poor heart doesn't melt." She retorted at him with a pitied expression clear on her face. Which of course was soon washed away as she couldn't help but laugh at the two's behavior.

Once the two arrived back at the herd Mystery looked down at Willow "Well, we're home now, you can go find your boyfriend now~" Mystery teased, she took a deep breath to hide the laugh that might escape

Willow's legs were getting sore from the walk, she was glad to be back in the herd, she smiled at her mother "I'm so happy we're home!" She squealed, her expression soon changed when her mom said the last part "Mom! Trigger isn't my boyfriend! We're JUST friends!" She spoke, for the first time Willow ALMOST sounded annoyed, but she wasn't, she was just embarrassed at her moms jokes, heck, Willow didn't know Mystery was only joking (Again Willow takes things seriously) "HMPH! I suppose I should go see my FRIENDS so I can tell them about my adventure" She said with a happy chappy little smile across her face, Willow trotted around the herd in search of Trigger and Athena, she didn't manage to find Trigger, but thankfully spotted Athena at the edge of the herd, so she cantered over "Hey Athena! Guess what!? I went to the forest to explore and almost DIED!" She exaggerated "But I survived, and my mom helped me out of the ditch, and I didn't even cry!" She lied at the last part "Then we came he-" Willow stopped talking, she looked closely at Athena's face, noticing a look of worry "Athena, are you okay?" She asked, nuzzling her shoulder

West glanced over at the herd, seeing Willow speaking with Athena happily and Mystery standing nearby- though, Athena didn't look right. She looked almost angry. West tilted his head slightly but turned it back to look at Phantom, knowing if Athena was upset Willow would help. The filly was great that way. "Why thanks, I guess my master plan worked afterall." He laughed a little, though his mind was a little preoccupied with Flame. And Cannon. And other things. Like the fact.. well... "Phantom, I do want to ask you something. Why did you come back? Tiger and you seemed to get along great..and... well..." West trailed off, staring more at the ground now.

Regal watched Mystery disappear into the woods, curious, he followed. After a while he saw Willow -Oh so that's why Mystery's here- he thought, he was about to leave them be when he heard a little girls voice, Willow, he watched Mystery disappear down the ditch -Oh no- He trotted over as Mystery and Willow climbed back up "Mystery, are you and Willow okay?" He asked trying not to sound worried, but his face showed otherwise, he checked Willow to make sure she was okay, nothing but a few scratches, he then turned his attention to Mystery, the golden mare didn't even have a scratch "Thank goodness you both are okay" He spoke calmly nuzzling the two, he followed them back to the herd, he saw West and Phantom talking but didn't go over. Instead he stayed to talk to Mystery "So... You alright?" He asked glancing at her
