Lily's eyebrows came together, confused. "Why would I? You're you, not a scheming, evil, crazy older brother who is apparently the worst brother in the world. And you're not a poor stallion. You're a handsome, cunning, impossible not to like, risking-his-life-for-someone-he-just-met stallion." Lily was smiling now, a warm, welcoming smile. She nuzzled West and lifted his head with hers, their foreheads touching.

-See? Question answered. You didn't have to worry so much- West thought, half mentally scolding himself and half feeling relieved. To actually hear the words was a great comfort. He tipped his head as Lily continued, flattered and confused by her compliments. Wouldn't anyone try to help someone they saw in danger? He was nothing special... yet the first word of praise caught his attention. -Handsome, now that's a new one I have never heard- West thought wryly. "... thanks, you're words were very helpful. I hope somebody has said you are an amazing mare, and great at lifting spirits." He commented quietly back, a small chuckle escaping.

Lily pulled away, a little embarrassed. "Why thank you, kind sir. I think a few have said so, but I still enjoy it." Lily bowed, dipping her head gracefully. "You are... Ahem... Good at lifting spirits too." Lily looked away, pretending to have seen something over the hill.

-That was completely her own fault- West thought with a hidden smile, though he had to think about what really happened. "You're welcome, and thank you also. I'm glad we cleared those few minor issues up today, but was there anything else you had in mind to do this morning?" He asked with a slightly tilted head, watching the mare carefully... and taking a step back.

(O.o we just got our 10th member.... ROLEPLAY TIME)

Well that went a little better than I had expected... "I'm glad too." Lily's stared at West at his last comment, feeling exposed. "I- um- no... I don't think so? Just wanted to talk..." Lily's voice fell away and she looked down again. "I think we have some catching up to do..."

West's ears twitched slightly. Lily seemed so... awkward. He uually wasn't *bashful* or *awkward*, West had always been great at weird situations, but this was getting to him a little. He shifted his weight a little, glancing at the water. "Okay, that's fine. ..and yes... we do..." West kind of trailed off also. -What am I supposed to say to that- he thought

(It's gonna be like a horse riding boarding school, so the students will all have horses and they'll go to classes based on cross-country, jumping, dressage, race, and western.)

Lily was surprised to see West looking so uncomfortable, and it made her feel a little better. "Well, let's start with... What's your favorite animal?" I hope that's not too boring... Maybe he has a secret favorite animal? I know I do...

West flicked his tail and turned his gentle brown gaze back to Lily as she spoke. Well... that question was.... different. What was his favorite animal? "Er... I'd have to say Japanese Spider Crab. And yours?" He asked, deciding to go with his rare choice instead of his normal choice.

(I might not do the layout, because one, I have no way to share it, and two, I don't want to go to that much work... I'm almost finished, I just need to edit it a little bit)

Lily smiled. "Japanese Spider Crab? Never heard of it. I'm guessing it's a kind of crab?" Lily shook her head, glad that West hadn't said anything wierd. "Uh... I really like owls. And also foxes. And horses like you.... Oh! I also really like ants. And butterflies! Actually, I'm scared of butterflies..." Lily muttered the last part, hoping she didn't sound stupid. "Anyways, I guess I like a lot of animals." Lily shrugged, not being able to decide her very favorite.

"Well it's the only animal in the world that is classified both as a crab and as a spider." West confirmed, tipping his head as Lily started rambling a bunch of animals. "Well... those are all great animals." He commented helpfully, feeling a little more calm now
