West nodded, glancing around. "That's understandable, considering the temperature of the water you were just in." He commented quietly, looking a big shifty - (I think stallion... or colt, at this point) (Here's the link to what he looks like, adding for fun: Click Here) Cannon trotted up a steep hill, his black mane getting ruffled in the wind. He peered down into the giant valley and saw a herd of horses, his eyes lighting up. -Whoopee, and finally... horses!- He thought happily, cantering down then coming to a halt when he remembered how herds worked. Most herds would not let a colt in that hadn't been born to a mare there... most herds would even kick out a colt that had. This would be a little dangerous. -Well I've been hearing about that one herd with a really nice leader. Let's hope this is the one- He thought, going a little closer and scanning for who might be leader. An absolutely giant grey stallion caught his eye, so Cannon headed up there. "Hello! Are you the herd leader? I was wondering if I could join... I promise I'll be quite nice and not try and take over." Cannon said hurridely, his brave streak comning out as he looked up at the tall stallion. The stallion seemed to have quite gentle eyes... that was a good sign.

Angel woke up and felt the foal was cold. She hopped up and tried to wake it. It wasn't breathing. The poor little foal had passed. Angel walked over to the stream and laid down in it resting her head on the bank

Mystery saw Macy trotting up to her "Oh Macy, Hi" She said with a warm smile. Should she tell Macy what she was thinking? Should she go through with it? Mayyybe she wasn't as brave as she began to think "Yeah i spoke to West but he doesn't have anything for me to do" She said slowly as she stopped holding her breath, her chonky stomach going back to large -Ahh that feels better- she thought before looking around the herd. She saw Angel get up and go to the stream, her eyes trailed back to where Angel was laying. Mystery saw a tiny lump on the ground, she knew the foal didn't... Make it "Oh Angel... I'm so sorry" Mystery said to herself, but it felt like she was right next to Angel saying it to her. She turned back to Macy "Hey.. I was thinking i might tell West about.. You know.. I think it's about time i told him, i just hope nothing bad will happen.. But first, i'm going to go see Angel, and be with her for a while.. I'm lucky my foal isn't dead yet... Though i don't know for sure, I want to comfort her as best i can" Mystery said to Macy. Usually Mystery was a happy cheery mare, usually the happiest horse anyone ever met, it would be hard to make her sad.. But right now her eyes looked lifeless

Mystery turned and signaled for Macy to follow if she wanted to, and walked over to the river to see Angel "H-Hey Angel.. I know this is a dumb question but are you okay..?" Mystery asked softly, all Mystery ever really wanted was for everyone to be happy.. But it clearly wasn't going her way, she went and stood next to Angel, then laid in the water next to her and breathed warm air onto her back "I'm so sorry this happened to you, you didn't deserve this.." Mystery said, she knew what Angel was going through, aftter that stallion kicked her and Angel, Mystery thought her foal would die too, but nothing happened just yet

Angel looked up and nodded. She had known the foal wouldn't make it. She just wanted a foal of her own a little ball of energy running around. Most of all she wanted a family with a stallion who loved her.

Mystery nodded in return, she didn't know what to do that could help Angel. Mystery felt stuck. As if nothing in the herd would get better, then she thought about the stallion that took Angel, and kicked her and Mystery, and she thought about Flame, and how that gross stallion took over Mystery, Macy, and Dixie's herd.. And how he impregnated her and Macy.. And how he took Dixie, and just the fact that he treated mares like they were nothing. Mystery never hated ANY horse, when it came to mares she could get along with them, when it came to stallions she only got along with them because she knew the stallions' rules, that a made/member must listen to their lead stallion. But West was different, he never abuses any mares or told them what to do just cause he was able to. Mystery looked at Angel, she had unlocked a new hatred for most stallions, at least the pigish self absorbed ones. "Why.. Why did it have to be this way, why are stallions so aggressive.. I mean aside from West, Im talking about most other horses, they treat us like we're nothing, as if all we exist for is to give them foals.. It's not fair.. THIS was never fair, We should get our rights in ANY herd, we should matter more to them" Mystery said, it felt good to vent. Mystery knew not all horses are bad, its just hard to find the good ones. Luckily when Mystery ran away from Flame's herd, she stumbled across West in the woods. Mystery was lucky enough to actually FIND a good one, and for West she was grateful

Angel lifted her head up again. "Sure I never wanted that foal with rusty. Nor I wanted to find that foal. But it hurts when they pass and considering that I want a family. That little ball of energy and fluff running around, a stallion that loves me for me and a family to protect. Most of all for no one to be scared of them because of me" she said sadly. She felt like her dreams had been crushed.

When Scarlet saw the colt, she decided to go up to him. "Hey West! Hey Aunt Dixie! Hello newbie" she said as she stopped next to West, her white coat shimmering in the sun. She looked up at West, then back at the colt. - Dixie giggled at his comment then looked away. She felt her legs painfully come back to life, so she decided to try to stand. She managed to brace herself and stand. "Hey Scarlet!" Dixie looked at the colt and swished her tail, the black hair flicking against her Appaloosa pattern. She flicked the peice of forelock over her blue eye

West lifted his head as a colt came running up, which brought a smile to his dark face. He looked much more normal now, because West was not the type to look depressed... but that was all he had been feeling lately. "Yes, I am the herd leader... and yes, you can join. It's fine." He assured with a comfrting smile, chuckling slightly at the colt's enthusiasm. Little horses... wow that kinda sounded like a stab and every horse smaller than West... so colts and fillies, foals made West laugh. They always filled him with joy, because they were so carefree and happy, like nothing was wrong in the world. - Cannon's eyes lit up as the leader spoke. "Great! Thanks! And hi!" He said cheerily, smiling as he looked at the white filly, then back at the herd leader, then at the mare.
