"Ooohh..." She said, Lady would often tell him about what they meant. "Why?"

Angel fell asleep sad. She was still very upset about her foals passing
| |

Mystery saw Angel and felt sorry for her -Her foal mustn't have made it..- She thought as she looked at herself in the water, she began to worry about her own foal, she held back her tears -I hope my foal is okay...- She thought as she nuzzled her belly. Then she saw West come back with Dixie, Mystery was so relieved that Dixie was safe "MACYYY!" Mystery called to get Macy and Scarlet over. She walked up to them "Dixie! Thank goodness you're okay, we were all getting worried..")

Angel raised her head. She stood up and walked over to west. Angel then rested her head on his back. She was crying silently. She still hadn't told west she had lost her foal

Macy galloped to her sister when Mystery called "oh Dixie!!! Where we're you!?" When she didn't answer right away she turned to West "where was she?" - Dixie lowered her head when the other mares started coming. She sighed when Macy turned to West. Dixie stepped closer to West. She felt like fainting. She was weak and dirty. Flame didn't let her eat because he didn't want her to fight back anymore. "West..." she breathed "I need to talk to you"

West's concern only grew when Angel came back over, obviously crying, and Dixie just seemed even more dejected. -Think like this is a normal every day problem- West thought, though he felt his heart sinking. "What's wrong, Angel?" He addressed Angel first, then turned his head to Macy. "She was with an obviously cruel stallion." He answered, then turned to look at Dixie last. "What is it?" He asked quietly, taking a couple steps away from the herd of horses and more towards her

Dixie started walking away, motioning to West to follow. "West... Flame... he found me in the woods... he didn't feed me. Or let me clean myself in the water..." Dixie lowered her head, one tear falling down her face
| |
| |

West followed, then listened to what Dixie said, his face filling with horror. "Dixie, that's terrible! Who would ever be that..." he trailed off, shaking his head slightly. "You can eat now. I will not let Flame come anywhere near you again," West said quietly, not even knowing what to think. How could there be so many terrible things and horses in this beautiful world. Why would anyone do that to Dixie?

Dixie nodded and, without thinking, gave him a small nuzzle before dropping her head and munching on the grass. She was so hungry...

West was already on high alert. He was definitely going to keep his promise to Dixie and never let her, or any of his mares, get hurt or taken again. He already felt like an idiot for letting ANY of this happen. West stood by her with his head high, sniffing the wind occasionally and glancing around warily
