West glanced back at Dixie as she spoke. "The mare's name is Lyre's Harp. She was in my herd a long time ago, before it was even a *herd*. I don't know who the stallion is... but he is on my land, and I suppose my *duty* as the stallion of this herd and leader of the land blah blah blah that I have to go see why he's here." West sounded exasperated.

Dixie nodded slowly. "What's so special about her that makes you seem sad that she's back?" Dixie watched him

West turned his gaze to Dixie rather quickly, looking bewildered. "What do you mean? Do i look sad? I'm not sad." He said quickly, turning back. "I have to go check on that stallion. See you later." West told Dixie, sounding a little uncomfortable as he trotted off

Dixie laid there. She watched, her eyes wide as he trotted away. "What did I say?" She whispered. She honestly had no clue what made him act like that. Dixie lowered her head but her eyes stayed glued to him. "He must really like that mare or something" she mumbled as she nibbles on a piece of grass

West lowered his head as he slowed to a walk, still aiming for the stallion. Why did things have to be so complicated. His mind slipped back to his younger days, when he knew Harper much better. They had an amazing friendship, being best buddies ever since they met. Harper helped him, and he protected her in return. Nothing really could get better. Then another mare came, a bit weaker of one. The other mare needed help, and West willingly gave it to her. Harper started acting a little rude.. and finally she verbally attacked the other mare, looking very angry. West had been appauled, not knowing what to do, until he realized Harper had grown jealous. He had been paying a little bit more attention to the other mare, practically nursng her back to health after she got attacked by wolves, and Harper was too young to realize that... so she left. West had an empty place in his heart to this day... he had never liked her as anything more than a friend, but as the horses in this herd should know... when West made a friend, it was forever. He was very loyal and cared about his friends strongly and deeply in a way no other stallion he had ever met did.

Dixie finally let her eyes drift to the grass. Beautiful bugs flew around and others crawled. She felt something move around her and she found a turtle. The turtle attempt her to crawl up her leg and became successful. It managed to follow her leg all the way to her hindquarters. It rested on her back and sunbathed, obviously not noticing that she wasn't a rock. A bird even landed between her ears. A fawn moves out of the woods to settle beside her and it's mother soon followed. -this is not normal- she thought. Sitting in the patch of sunlight with animals around her made her feel weird

West finally got there, his mind feeling clouded. He walked past the stallion and up the hill, not really caring at this point. Once he actually started thinking about Harper it brought up so many memories... most of them amazing, but some of them sad. West had always thought of the mare as his best friend until she got jealous, but he could never stop thinking about her even after that. It hurt West terribly to lose a friend, especially a good one. Now she was back, and she acted changed... older and wiser. Happier. West wanted to talk with Harper, but he felt like he couldn't.

Dixie eyed the animals. The deer leaned against her and the fawn laid under her neck. The turtle was still on her back and the bird was singing beautiful songs from between her ears. A butterfly landed on a blade of grass next to her and another bird joined the previous one. She was very confused. What was happening here?

Angel looked back and she saw the horses. Was tiger all that rose said lion was?

|
Tiger let out a small huff and trotted forward, flicking his ears in uncertainty, "we should stay close, something might be out there, waiting" he said, remembering the time he was attacked by a lion, it had torn his ear
