Tiger turned and looked at angel with a affectionate look, "deep in thought, angel?" He asked

Dixie held her leg above the grass. The pain was getting worse now and she couldn't put it down. The swollen leg looked worse now. She looked away and tried to put it down. She winced when her hood touched the ground

West glanced at Harper as the mare cantered away, seeing another stallion. -She can take care of herself, plus she's not in my herd anymore- West thought with a slight pang of sadness, but he turned his gaze elsewhere. Dixie caught his eye, and she didn't look too good. A concerned look on his face, West trotted over to her. "Is the leg really bothering you?" He asked quietly, sounding worried. West didn't know much to do about an injured leg... he was great at treating open wounds, but not so great with inside stuff.

Dixie nodded slowly. She pulled her leg up again

West took in a slow breath, glancing around. "Lean on me." He finally said, an idea coming to mind. West came beside Dixie and guided her gently to a small stream that ran out of the mountains. No one ever bathed in it or played in it because it was always freezing, made of melting mountain snow. "Try putting your leg in that. It may hurt, but I promise it will help the pain and swelling. At least a little."

Dixie nodded and leaned against him as she hobbled towards a stream. She flicked her ears around, unfamiliar with this part of the field. She nodded again at his words as she practically hopped into the water. She snorted as her hoof went into the water. She lowered her entire leg in. "Ok that's cold" she said. She shook her head, her mane flying here there and everywhere, her forelock uncovering her blue eye. It was shimmering in the reflection of the water so she flicked her hair back over her blue eye.

West nodded. "It is cold, that's why it helps." he answered, hoping and praying this helped. A lot. He knew it would help a little, because he had done it before. The cold water made swelling go down considerably, and when swelling went down the pain did also

Dixie nodded as she tried not to shiver. She would turn away a few times just to gain herself again. She did shiver eventually but she tried not to let it show by shaking

West waited a couple more minutes before speaking. "It should be fine now. Sorry you had to get so cold. I really hope that helps." He commented quietly, supporting her so she didn't have to put weight on her leg and slowly walking away from the water, into a patch of sunlight.

She shook her head "as long as it works I'll be fine" she hobbled against him. She gently touched her hoof to the ground. She even more gently tilted her hood against the ground, trying to rest it so it wouldn't hurt as bad. "I don't know how long I can stand one three legs..." she took her weight off of him
