Regluar Herd Horse Appearence
Luna is a Bay Tobiano Oldenburg x Mustang cross with a small-ish star on her face, she would have bright green eyes. The mare would have a build of a oldenburg from her sire's side but the confirmation of a mustang from her dam's side. There would be a few patches of bay on her whole face/mid top part of her neck/ears, both of her sides, front of her neck + her chest, and almost fully both sides of her hindquarters while she'll be mostly white overall on her neck, body, and all four of her legs since her hooves are a light color and she has feathers on her said hooves from her mustang genetics. Her mane and tail would both be black but her hair would be quite long since she's been out in the wild for so long. She stands proudly at 16.2hhs while weighing around at 1,700 pounds.
Personatlity
Luna is a quiet mare but she tends to find herself in social conversations with the other herd mares. Even though she's friendly, she isn't afraid to speak her mind even though she chooses her words carefully, depending on the situation that she's in. The mare can be quite kind to anyone that she meets but when push comes to shove, she'll let you know when enough is enough. Luna can get quite skittish at times even though this trait of hers has gotten her out of some dangerous situations like predators for example.
Backstory
Luna was born on the range a few months ago when her dam escaped from a breeding facility that was caught in a blaze. She had been raised by her dam since foal hood but she never really got to meet her sire since he didn't make it when the barn, that her mother escaped from, was on fire. When she reached yearling hood, her mother was killed by a mountain lion the moment when she was told to run, she was also taught to never look back as it would only slow her down in the end.

Name: Dakota Gender: Mare Age: 4 Breed: Mustang x American Paint Horse Rank: Beta/Protector Appearance: A grullo overo paint with very distinct dun markings. Distinct shoulder shadowing, leg barring, and dorsal stripe. She has a blaze that goes just over her eyes. She has pale blue-grey eyes. Personality: Stubborn and free-willed. She is sassy with a wild heart and loves her freedom. She is strong, fast, brave, independent, and quick-minded. She loves making new friends and is a total dare-devil. But when it comes to her herd and those she loves, she is very protective and careful. She is a very logical horse, and very confident in what she believes is right. Backstory: Dakota was part of her family's herd, a human-created one with both wild and domestic horses. When she was a yearling, the workers at the ranch went out to round up all the yearlings for adoption or auction, Dakota and a few other younger horses fought and ran off, fending for themselves in the wilderness. After about half a year, they finally decided to go their separate ways and find their own paths. She was a loner for a long time before a mare found her and took her in. She was in that herd until a terrible storm came through, flooding out their grasslands, and separating most of them. Just recently, a mare just a bit older than he came and saved her as a skinny, terrified, and confused filly. This herd has helped her find her personality again. She is now a healthy and dedicated protector of this herd. Relationship Status: none currently Other: 15.0hh with a stocky, muscular build of a quarter horse, but the thick mane and short back of a mustang. She has a scar across her left hindquarter from debris during the flood. Dakota always has a lively look to her. |

Name: Hazel Gender: Mare Age:6 Breed: Mustang/TB Rank: Alpha Appearance: This is a 16.2hh liver chestnut paint mare. Her markings are distinct and it, from a certain angle looks like she is wrapped in a torn-up rug. Has a star and stripe marking on her face, and her four leg markings consist of a sock on her right front leg, nothing on her left front leg, nothing on her right hind leg, and a half pastern on her left hind leg. Personality: Kind and warm-hearted. Tries to do the best for her herd, but sometimes needs input from her beta to make decisions, as she tends to second-guess herself, but really, she knows what she is doing. Is on good terms with most of the mares and stallions, but is not a very social horse. She is very brave and will defend her herd at any cost. Backstory: Was born into the herd. Her parents were killed in a fire 3 years ago, and she still thinks about them. She is loyal to the herd and cares for everyone in it. Name: Winter Gender: Stallion Age: 5 Breed: Mustang x Appaloosa Rank: Regular Herd Horse Appearence: Winter is a Black Leopard Appaloosa with dark black points on his muzzle, ears, and legs. He has a visible snip on his face. He also has one, tall, hind stocking. His eyes are warm brown in color. He has the strong sturdy build of a Mustang with the beautiful pattern of an Appaloosa. His mane and tail are long and flowing.He has a mix of black and white hairs in his mane and his tell is full black. He has a long scar that runs the length of his face. He is about 15.4hh tall. Personatlity: Winter is a reserved stallion that tends to hang out only with close friends. He is kind and is actually very strong and muscular despite being more shy. He will protect his loved ones even if it means the death of him. Around new horses he tends to keep to himself. He tends to make smart and responsible desicions which makes him a good herd advisor. He always learns from his mistakes. Backstory: He has lived with this herd his whole life since the day he was born. His parents died awhile back, but he was glad that they passed peacefully in the herd they loved. He has fought many battles including a force fight with a cougar that left him with a large scar. He is more shy and reserved because of the terrible things he has seen and he is kind and makes responsible desicions because of bad choices he has made in the past. Name: Versace Gender: Female Age: 7 Breed: Saddlebred Appearence: Versace is a matte black mare, the same as her twin. She has no markings, just full black Personality: Versace is a sassy and sarcastic mare. She is the handful in the herd. Versace makes sure her voice and opinions are heard. She can be quite manipulative, so that is one thing to watch out for. Versace acts sour around new horses she doesn't know - has trust issues - She deeply loves her twin brother, Prada, and enjoys going exploring with him. Versace also likes to be flirty and giggle around with the herd stallions. Getting her confused with her brother often gets her annoyed. You can also catch her around Xena. She is often around the older mare for comfort. Relationship Status: No mate, really just spends her time hanging around ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Prada Gender: Stallion Age: 7 Breed: Saddlebred Appearence: Prada is a matte black stallion, the same as his twin. He has no markings, just full black Personatlity: Compared to his sister, most horses say that Prada is much nicer. This stallion just thinks of himself to be alive just so that he makes sure nobody gets offended by Versace. He often laughs to himself about it. Prada just has a lot of love to give out but no one to give it to. He's a real cuddle bug. He knows that his sister can be much nicer but the passing of their mom changed that. Prada is very affectionate and loves a good laugh. Relationship Status: No mate, but looking ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Backstory for BOTH: Prada and Versace have had a pretty rough childhood. This is what took a toll on Versace's behavior. She used to be like her brother, loving and sweet but the loss changed all of that. They also went through bad times with lead stallions as foals. Prada knows that his sister is still kind, but she really just shows her old personality to him. They are newer to the group, as the loss was quite recent and they were looking for a new herd to live in. Now Prada just hopes for a happier life so that he can look after his sister and bring her old self back. |
