Tiger nodded, allowing her to follow, he led her around and showed her places such as the forest, where they could run for safety, or the water source, (bubbling brook) and the grazing grounds stretched for many miles, "I hope you enjoy my valley" he said

West studied Dixie for a moment more as she ran off before sighing, glancing around. He could hear Tiger and two other mares arguing, and most of him didn't care... but that little part of stallion still in him made him want to tell Tiger to bring Tiger's mares off of his land. It was kind of insulting that mares came to West's land, and Tiger just snatched them away. -Cool off- West thought, standing still and observing - Lion stood beneath the pines, his head high, his nostrils flaring. For the last couyple days he had been watching a new stallion take over his valley, avoiding that stallion like a ghost. Lion may have been a giant hunk of muscle, but he was good at disappearing. His eyes showed a deep sadness that no one else understood, yet they were still hard and alert. Lion had always stayed upwind and did other things to avoid letting the new stallion see him, and to avoid letting Sugar see him. That stupid self centered jealous taking over brat of a mare. Lion felt so weak, knowing that Sugar took over his life, flipped it upside down, and almost brought him to his death. He had practically ran away a couple years back, not wanting to ever see her again, but Sugar had stayed in his territory. The one this new stallion was taking over. Lion didn't know whether to care... he hated other horses, and would much rather spend the rest of his days in hiding, but in the same time he didn't want to show himself. Didn't want Sugar to know he was still alive. Lion flipped his mane to the other side of his neck and watched everything, then the wind brought him a scent. The scent. He stiffened and perked his ears, flaring his nostrils to capture every part of that scent. Could it be? Then a deep anger, regret, and sadness filled him and his head bowed. He was a terrible stallion. He should have been loyal to.. to... Rose. The one mare that had ever ACTAULLY cared, the one mare he kicked to the curb for Sugar. Lion was ruined from that, knowing it was a life-long mistake that would always stay with him. He went forward, staying downwind, going to where he could see. There. Rose was beating Sugar up, landing powerful blows on the cremello mare. Lion was happy, but sadness took over quickly. His ears pinned in shame and regret, and he galloped away, pounding over the green, lush valley that he used to call his home.

Tiger flicked his ears as he heard galloping, he followed the sound, and saw another stallion, he pinned his ears, and rushed forward, "Stop!" He demanded

Lion heard a sound behind him, and he didn't think his heart could plummet further. It did. At this point, he felt like he was in the middle of the earth, burning up, but when he heard the other stallion voice he broke through the other side and just free fell in space. That's what his brain felt like. He slowed to a halt, his ears flashing back and his big frame tensing as he turned around. Lion had been careless going so close to see Rose, and this is what he got. "What?" He snapped, his voice ragged from not having talked in so long, running so hard he fell, and working so hard he couldn't breath.

Tiger calmly approached the other stallion, he looked at him, "may you tell me why your here?" He said, his voice was warming and calm, "oh, sorry, I suppose I should ask for your name first, mines Tiger" he said pawing the ground

Lion's ears sank further back, pinned in anger ... but still, the regret and sadness showed through in his eyes. His big frame shifted as he half stomped a hoof half pawed at the ground. "I'm here because this was my territory." Lion answered, his head raised high and his gaze cold. He wasn't being openly aggressive, but instead was showing the proper signs of defensiveness.

Tiger snorted, "well, it's not now" he said, gazing at the stallion Tiger flicked his tail in annoyance

Lion was just about done talking to this young stallion. He was ready to take flight, but since some dignity still reigned, he didn't. "Why do you think I've not been trying to take over? You should be thankful." Lion growled, his tail flicking as he wheeled round and started walking off towards the grove of pine trees he loved to stand under, about 2 miles away... just a speck in the distance. His ears flat against his head in a less angry state, more like.. agony. Lion had not talked to another horse in over 2 YEARS, and this day was very eventful. He saw Rose, he saw Sugar, he saw Rose beating up Sugar, and he had to talk to a young stallion. -Grrrr-
