West looked back at Dixie, his expression a little worried. "You sure you're okay?" He asked again, not wanting to nag... but that foot looked painful

Dixie shook her head. "It hurts..." she nuzzled her ankle and breathed softly against it

"I can only imagine. That looked like a painful fall." West commented, glancing at Dixie's ankle which thankfully wasn't swollen. West guessed it would be fine, it wuld just be sore for a while

She nodded and flicked her tail. "Thank you for checking on me." Edited at July 1, 2023 11:20 PM by Sky Stables

A quatre horse mare slowly cantered past. She would go faster, if she could. A few days ago, the mare was going down a steep hill, carefully, when a squirrel jumped out of the bush! It had scared the young mare, and she took a large step to the side, forgetting how uneven the ground was. When she took the step, her left back leg landed on the side of a dip. Then she had started falling. It started with sliding, then, she fell over when a front foot hit another dip, and she ended up on her side.

Dixie watched as a new mare cantered past. She flicked her tail. She noticed that she got more and more anxious when she saw new horses, mare or stallion, herd or alone. She just wanted to be alone. She tossed her head and sidestepped. Her nostrils flared and her ears threatened to pin as she watched the mare

The mare looked to the side and attempted to step sideways but almost fell. Instead, of trying again, she pretended that she didn't notice the mare, though she clearly did.

Dixie tossed her black mane and watched as the mare stumbled. She pinned her ears

The dun mare tossed her head to look at the mare and pinned her ears back, saying I can, and I will fight you if I need to. She continued on her way after threatening the mare back and stumbled a few times. Though the other mare could not see it, there were scratch marks all up her left side. A few patches were left bald, and there was a major limp on her left back leg.

Dixie stomped. -someone needs to put her in her place!- Dixie turned towards the mare and pawed at the ground, lowering her beautiful bay head and pinning her ears further than before. She snorted and gave her the "your not welcome here" look. Dixie was completely oblivious of West as she watched the newcomer. Dixie couldnt handle new horses. She hoped everyone knew that and didn't think she was purposely hating this one horse.
