'HELP!' Dreams squealed as a long rope-like thing jumped at her and latched on to her leg. It was slimy and had a few brown colors on its flailing body. It was on Dreams right hind leg and she kicked and reared trying to free herself from it, but was unsuccessful. 'SOMEONE HELP!' She squealed again. Pain shot up her leg and into her body, causing her to crumple to the ground.

(Rattle Snake, she's just never seen one)

West ducked his head slightly. This was NOT how he was imagining this- or any- conversation to go. PLUS those words sounded EXTREMELY weird coming from a mare that he had known for 2 years now. Dreams liked him? Funny. "I don't want...- I can't guard and protect everyone effectively if I'm letting my own feelings get in the way." He mumbled quietly, sounding a little guilty. At the sound of a scream his head shot up and he was already galloping towards the sound. He slid to a stop near Dream, seeing the rattlesnake. West angrily pinned his ears +stupid creatures+ he thought, and brought his hooves down on the snake, careful to avoid Dream's legs. He then snatched the dead animal with his teeth and tossed it away. "Are you okay? Did it bite you?"
