Phantom nuzzled him back while flicking her tail against him gently "Well you should come visit more often... I miss having you around" She stated softly then listened to him speak "I'm sorry to hear that, I hope your luck turns around soon" She said sorrowfully to him "My luck as been okay with things... not the best but okay"

Tiger looked at her, "I would love to, but I don't know if the herd wants me around, you know? I left a while ago, I will probably be as bad as those stallions that visit" he said, he nudged her, "plus, if I am going to get a herd I better search harder" he said, "fight some stallions, you know, that stuff" he said, flicking his ears, Tiger looked at her and a hot rush went through him, followed by sorrow, if he was to get a herd he knew he couldn't have These feelings for phantom, because phantom was West's and Tiger would have to get mares of his own soon, that means foals too, Tiger stared at the ground, not liking the possibilities

Phantom got a bit sadden by his words but she knew it was true "Yea... Phantom worried expression grew a bit more but that changed into a stern look as he tried to change the subject "Oh y'know the usual pulling logs and such" She stated bluntly with a small pause "Anyway what were you thinking about that got you upset?" She asked him quietly and softly

Tiger sighed, he knew he could no longer avoid his feelings, or phantom, "phantom.." he said softly looking at her, "I am sad because.." this was going to be hard for tiger, but he only wanted phantom to see him, "I-..I like you, I really do, but you belong to west, and I fully know that, I would never fight west because he was kind to me, and being a stallion who is going to build a herd of his own, I know we can't be together, I have mares to get, and they wouldn't want their stallion disappearing to see another mare.., I will also have foals to raise" he said, tiger's voice was thick with emotion "I can't follow those feelings, because.. it's not supposed to be.." he said staring at the ground

Phantom listened to Tiger closesly and quietly, she was saddened by his words since she liked him as well but everything he said was true. It wasn't meant to be, he would have his own mares and foals to tend too and she couldn't be a reason for him to go running off. Neither did she want to leave West either since she also liked West... "Tiger... I don't want you to be upset by those thoughts.. I mean I'm upset as well but don't be upset over me, I'm not worth that... You need to take that and use it as a motivation to start a new herd if that makes sense... Use that emotion for something else besides sulking okay..." She said quietly to him just trying to cheer him up which she wasn't the best at doing

Tiger looked at her, and nodded, "of course, but I will still visit, from time to time, not often due to herd duties, but as often as I can" he said, "and we can still be friends" he said, nodding slowly running the recent events through his head, his throat felt dry, and his eye wet, but he blinked away forming tears, he knew it had to be this way
