Phantom snorted softly before responding "Yea.." She said tiredly looking at him and meeting his gaze

Tiger bobbed his head up and down, he then layed down, "join me"

West flicked his ears as he glanced around, his gaze saddening a little when he saw Phantom and a Tiger. Then he noticed the foals were gone. West's ears perked as he stiffened, sniffing the air. A faint scent came from the canyon. The same one that had mountain lions in it. West's eyes flared as he took in a sharp breath. "Phantom, I think Moon and Aurora may be in danger. Please stay here and make sure Dixie is alright?" West asked quickly, his tone almost pleading. He then broke into a canter and went down near the canyon, entering. West sped up as he heard a snarl, getting there in time to see a cougar slashing at Aurora.

Phantom was about to lay down beside Tiger when she heard West. She nodded "Okay I will" She said as she started to wake herself back up

Aurora let out a loud yelp as the mountian lion was close to hitting him. He heard hooves thundering behind him "I thought Itold you to run Moon!" He shouted not even looking back

"I'm not Moon, move quickly!" West hollered back. He wasn't going to let Aurora get hurt, mostly because he was pleased the colt cared enough about Moon to risk himself for her. -stop thinking about that and get your butt in there!- his brain screeched at him. Well West couldn't really stop that fast at this point, so he flew past Aurora and rammed into the cougar. Even that didn't really stop West, so he kind of just skidded into the rock wall on the other side, half smashing the cougar in the process. It let out a pained yelp, dropping to the ground with a snarl.

Tiger looked up at her and got up, "I will help him" he said before taking off, tail high in the air, after west

Aurora finally looked back hearing it wasn't Moon. He was gateful to see West there so he quickly obeyed what he said. Aurora moved out of the way and behind West as he charged at the mountian lion

Phantom had her gaze on Dixie then turned it back to Tiger "Okay just you two please be careful" She said watching him take off. She brought her gaze back to Dixie then to the rest of the herd

West shook out his mane. "That may not have been the best approach." He half coughed half laughed, though when the cougar sprang back up West beat It down again. He wouldn't kill it if he could do anything else... so wearing it down until it gave up was the next best thing. Mayberry injuring it in the process. West stomped a hoof and watched the cougar flinch backwards, obviously angry. The cougar leaped up again just to hit West chest and legs as he pushed it back down.

Aurora watched wit ha amazed twinkle in his eyes as West just easily took down the cougar over and over again just tiring it out. He wished he could've been that strong and done that himself but he hoped he could when he grew up to his full size.

The cougar finally gave up, just laying there for a second and panting. Then it crept sulkily out from under West and stalked off, probably never to be seen again. "So Aurora, I'm guessing it was Moon's idea to come into the canyon? And you agreed readily?" West said with a sigh, tilting his head as he turned to look at the colt
