"No no no, she's fine." West shook his head. He would never purposefully drive away a mare, especially since she hadn't done anything. Literally. He hunched his shoulders slightly and glanced around, making sure everyone was still okay

Phantom shook her mane around before replying "Okay." She said shooting one more glance at the mare then bac at Dixie
The mare pricked her ears at the stallion's voice. He sounded ok. But, they knew that she was here. I think... But, Rose needed to be here. She needed the food. The shelter. She knew that she couldn't keep running like this. Her back left leg was killing her, and she had been bit so many times that it hurt to move her body.

West finally resorted to more facts, hoping his deep resonant voice went mostly back to normal. -silly high pitched anxious notes- West thought. "Did you know dogs aren't carnivores?" he asked absentmindely, not really directing it at anyone

Phantom turned her attention back to West as he spoke. She tilted her head slightly at what he said "Really? I always thought they were" She said with a slight tone of confusion

"They are omnivores." West finished with a slight shake of his head. "Haven't you ever seen dogs eat grass?" West asked as a slight tease, trying to keep his mind off things
| |
The mare was still deciding what to do when she heard the thing about the dogs. Rose had been bitten by quite a few, so she truly disagreed with West on that one.

"Technically... yet they are scavengers. They eat what they can get." West mused on, his ears flicking. He had been bitten by dogs before, but that doesn't mean they wanted to eat him. Yuck. Most of them were just defending their matsers sheep

Phantom sat thinking about what West said for a minute then rolled her eyes at his slight tease "No but that;s mainly because I've never seen a dog before wise guy" She huffed back at him

West's eyes widened slightly. "You are sayin I've been bitten by a dog more times than you have seen one?" He asked in surprise
