West chuckled, shaking his head. He got ready, then at Dixie 's go he launched himself forward. West made sure to push mostly with his back legs, keeping weight off of his front right leg. He sped towards the finish line at a reasonable pace...

Dixie pushed herself quickly, her legs launching her faster and faster. she quickly came up to West and slowed down to match his pace. she playfully nipped at his shoulder as she crept forward. she stumbled over a large rock and took a few wonky steps before awkwardly regaining her footing and continuing after West. she hoped he hadn't notice

West tossed his mane and snorted, veering away slightly. "My poor, tattered body, what have you done?" West asked with a breathless chuckle, moving a little faster. He glanced back as Dixie faltered, but forged onward, knowing he was definitely the slowest horse of this trio.

Dixie threw herself forward, pushing forward, her neck stretched as far as she could so she could get there first.

West watched as Dixie pulled ahead... by a long shot. -Where did that inner racehorse go COME ON... I used to be the fastest horse in my herd!- West thought. He forgot about his leg and pushed himself faster, coming neck and neck with Dixie.

Dixie glanced over and she gathered her last bit of strength to gallop forward.

As West's leg shot a bolt of pain, he stumbled, letting Doxie pull ahead. West slowed to a walk, huffing. "Good... race..." He finally managed to get out, shaking his head. For the first time since he broke his leg... he had been so close. West smiled slightly, his eyes twinkling a little as he glanced around for Moon (assuming you finished ahead of me, Galloping... XD)

Dixie tossed her head, breifly noticing the twinkle in West's eyes "mhm" Dixie said with a smile

West's breath came back quickly. He glanced up at Dixie, nodding. "Thanks for the little bit of spark that put in my boring life." West joked, flicking his tail and taking a drink.
