Thanks for doing this! So in real life I have a really big red gelding (the horse shown on the right in my stable avi) and he has a very big rear that he loves to show off. Sadly he is coming to the end of his days, so my dream artpice would be him rearing up in front of a sunrise (he has a very sad mane and tail so let's give him some dignity and give him a nice long flowing mane and tail) with a set of wings that are extended to his sides. His ears perked and his nose reaching up with a little bit of glow across his face. To add to this a slightly transparent horse rearing in front of him (my mom's grey roan paint horse who was his best friend) with both wings and a halo (he passed due to heart attack) reaching out to touch his nose to my horses. I've got a big artpice and big hopes If I do win I can get you better refs lol) Edited at September 3, 2025 12:39 AM by ghost light stables

Hopefully this makes sense XD A monsterish horse with a tail like a scorpion, ragged mane and tail that's long but thin. Wild eyes in a attacking stance, mabye attacking a wild animal or another horse. The mouth extra wide, with sharpened teeth, and black drool dripping down. The fur is thin itself with a blackened/grey coat. With scars could be cool. Halloween coming around soon XD sorry.

A palomino horse standing by the seaside with seashells decorating her mane and tail and a seashell saddle. A rope bridle, and Seagulls sitting on the beach. The sun is setting, and there are several clouds in the sky. Blue, pink, and grey tones, as well as the palomino for the horse. The palomino has a blue eye on her right, and a brown eye on her left, as well as a blaze on her face and four even socks. Edited at September 26, 2025 01:57 PM by Sweet Valley

I've been too obsessed with this song lately and was thinking how to put it into art. Today I finally got something, but because I have to rest my eyes I can't do it myself... nor do I have the courgae, honestly lol. Maybe you're braver than me: One horse, rearing or looking up with one leg raised, towards the sky. Either by a lake embraced by mountains or on a high peak where he can be closest to the stars. Because he's looking at the object of his obsession, a blue-purple horse or pegasus shaped nebula that covers half of the night sky, looking down at the world or in a pose of jumping down onto it. He has a similarly colored blue-purple swirl of stardust around his shoulders and chest, and his eyes glow with the same blue-purple light. He's either grullo, blue roan or black with no markings at all and a normal mane & tail length, his mane is tossed around a bit in the swirling dust. Everything is dark, except for the dust, his eyes and the nebula which glow brightly.

Second idea lol So my heart horse shinner he loves to strike. He strikes at the other horses at me at the wall at cattle he just loves to strike for no reason! So my idea would be art of him standing in a creek striking at the water like the silly guy he is! Im thinking for him to have his rope halter (a black halter with knots tied in the noseband) on with the lead (a braided light blue lead) tossed over his neck or hanging in the water like he had just escaped. He always has his ears pricked because he thinks life is scary and he has a really nice flowy thick tail, his mane isn't super long but it's also really thick. (Ref pic)

Thanks for the opportunity Gem! Two Ideas: . 1. A horse stands on a hillside. Poor dude is downright miserable as rain falls from the dark clouds, soaking his mane and his coat. Below the clouds, it's dark and gloomy. Above the clouds though, it's bright and sunny. A "cloud" horse is hanging out up there, and he is amused by the wet horse below. Second option: I also think it would be funny if the cloud horse was upside down below the clouds. It's mane and tail would be flowing out underneath it, and it would be giving the other horse a look like "why aren't you enjoying the rain?" . 2. I have a dragon character named Dingo, and I'd love some artles that reflect him. I'm not asking for a dragon though, just a horsey that gives similar vibes. I'm thinking a homo dun, possibly with speckly appaloosa blanket (kind of like scales) and two large bat wings. I don't want any dragon features other than the wings, so no tail/sharp teeth/actual scales please! I think he'd look good with a long tail and a shorter mane, but a long mane would probably work too. Dingo is a playful boy, so I'd love the horse to be in a playful pose and possibly have its tongue stuck out? Dingo is a desert dragon, so I'd love for the background to be in a desert setting with dramatic lighting of some sort. I love clouds, so a nice sunset with some lovely clouds would be perfect. Assuming the horse is playing in the sand, a little kicked up bit of it would be cute too! . Edit: for the "dragon" one, I'd love for him to have some horns as well! In the refs I've made for him, he had two sets of horns; a pair of 'antlers' and a pair of straight horns, both of which branch out behind his head. I would be happy with one set of horns or both! . Edit: Came up with another idea: 3. Mushroom Draftie! A cute little chunk with a mushroom hat and some moss and mushrooms growing off of him. Probably a seal brown pangere or dark bay in a mossy forest environment. Edited at September 20, 2025 05:33 PM by Cloudier Echoes

I know both my ideas are sort of plain but I figured id shoot my shot anyway. #1) I was thinking of a WB standing in a field or on a cliff or on the beach with grey storm clouds behind him. Maybe light rain or none at all. No lightning just storm clouds. Or maybe a tiny bit of lightning. And a long mane and tail blowing in the wind. Either gently or whipped around. But the perspective would be like looking up at the horse slightly from a distance. #2) Imagine a WB galloping out of the ocean on a giant wave and its pouring rain during a thunderstorm and his hair is crazy and he's got a crazy look in his eyes but like hes part of the storm and waves and wind and rain itself not just a horse. Like a spirit kind of I suppose.

What a cool idea! Thank you for this awesome opportunity! And thank you for extending the entry date out so far - I’ve been on vacation and haven’t had time to gather my thoughts until now haha . My first idea is of a horse and coyote, either trotting/running alongside each other or standing and touching noses. The background can be a meadow, mountain, or forest. Overall color scheme that would compliment my stable colors (maroon and forest green). Any horse color besides champagne or double cream is fine. My favorite colors are red dun, bay dun, and fleabitten grey, my favorite pattern is rabicano. Pintos are okay, but no appaloosas since I only breed TB/X/WB/AA on this account. I like stocky types with big, cresty necks - Morgans are my favorite! . My next idea is going to be a niche one. My stable name comes from a video game called Dishonored. The art style of this game is very industrial/steampunk and often washed out/gloomy. I have two background ideas with minimal man-made structures depending on how elaborate you want to get. One- A nighttime grassy backdrop with heavy fog? Water in the background is optional, both games take place in port cities. Two- “The void” is an alternate dimension that the player travels to in the game. It consists of a blue-gray backdrop with floating islands and rocks, sometimes other strange things floating in the background - I would watch this gameplay video -click- from the time stamp 18:00 to 22:50, that will give you an idea of the vibe I’m going for. A whale in the sky in the background -click- and a floating candelabra in the foreground -click- would really sell the idea for me. It would probably look the best for the horse to be black, grey, grullo, or white, but I am open to other options. The Outsider’s Mark -click- could be on the horse’s cheek, hip, or shoulder like a brand, either in black/white to contrast with the coat, or glowing/smoking gold like you see in the video when it first appears. You can add scars if you would like. Finally, I’m not expecting or wanting full clothing for the horse, but if you would like, you can try accents in the colors of Emily Kaldwin’s clothes - navy blue, purple, gold, and black. -click- Edited at September 24, 2025 08:13 PM by Kaldwin Stud
