Ok so I just read this great fantasy book and now I'm inspired. In the closing scene of the book the main character bursts into flames and transforms from a human to a purple cockatrice. I don't really know what that is either, so here's what Wikipedia says: "A cockatrice is a mythical beast, essentially a two-legged dragon, wyvern, or serpent-like creature with a rooster's head." So what I was thinking for the art is a pretty bay/dun/dark-colored chonky horse with gold adornments and beautiful flows hair in castle ruins. And then the horse is at some stage of transforming into the purple cockatrice. Since that's a weird ask, the transformation could be just getting some scales/feathers/wings or it could a crazy hybrid horse. You choose! Then around the horse, because this transformation was from a crazy blood magic ritual, there are some cool magical flames going on. I don't know if my idea even makes sense, but I think it sounds like an interesting challenge! Thank you for opening this giveaway, Gem!

What's this? The new teacher is a horse? But it's true! There is a horse at the teachers desk, his thick mane resting on the desk and his tail on the floor. He has a vest and a tie, and those round old spectacles over his eyes. He has a chalk pencil in his mouth, and his hoof on the desk, and on a blackboard he has written, "Mr. World Class as your new teacher."

The light above is a chandelier and the whole room is vintage-themed.

The horse's vest is of a deep blue and his tie is a light blue bowtie.

The color of his coat is a light chestnut, and his thick, full mane and tail is creamy colored.

In a murky swamp setting a perlino Tobiano brindle horse walks through the swamp her head held even despite the murky waters. Her mane and tail are both long and slightly tangled, snakes crawl their ways across her back matching her brindle pattern, moss and sludge clings to her legs, and her blue eyes are slightly unfocused and cloudy.

A slightly transparent buckskin horse streached out at a full run heading for the edge of a moonlit cliff. his ears are pinned, eyes full of fear. he knows hes going to plummet to his death he already has, but he cant stop as his spirt is stuck in that one moment for the rest of eternity.

inspired by the Jurassic world fallen kingdom movie, specificly the scene where they are all on the boat going away from the Island, and there is the one last brachiosaurus on the dock trying to get away from the lava. My idea is to still have the red smoke on the dock, but instead of the dinosaur it's a rearing horse. Im thinking maybe a black horse with red hues in the mane and tail, maybe a badger face. This idea had TONs of wiggle room lol.

I would love art for my mare.

I picture a vintage artwork look—something that makes you think it belongs in a museum. An old-style European stable takes up half of the background, while the rest shows beautiful green rolling fields with trees lining a path. The stable itself is covered in ivy and wisteria.

In front of the stable, facing toward the fields, stands a black sport horse mare with a long mane and tail. Flowers are woven throughout her hair. Next to her is a foal (you may choose the color). The foal has its hindquarters facing the viewer and is looking back over its shoulder. Flowers are also woven into its mane and tail.

There are small details around the stable, such as a hay bale, pitchfork, and bucket. Doves are perched on top of the stable or flying overhead (reflecting the meaning of her name). Sunlight beams down onto the mare and foal.

#1: I was thinking more of a librarian type of horse. A bay or dark chestnut color with a bald face and one sock on the left hind leg. The booty is facing you but the horse is kinda looking back at you with a book in it's mouth and a bookmark sticking out of the book. Spilling out of the book, there is like a fantasy world with pegasi and unicorns and some utopian looking place with like a magic glitter swirl (if that makes sense) circling the book a couple times

#2: A chonk standing or walking on Saturn's rings with a dark galaxy behind it. Kinda galaxy/star vibes and the horse has a horn and wings that slightly glow a blue white color. The horse's color is like a purpley blue color and the eyes are ice blue

A big chunky cave pony type horse that looks like it came out of prehistroic times, around mordern day horses, like thourghbreds and aribians, and there is a gap between them. Near the cave pony is a white pegasus leaning its pink nose out to the odd creature. The cave pony leans close and touches noses with the pegasus. This takes place in the middle of a sunlit pasture.

I have been interested to see this done. Done in a stable avi and banner for all :)

Idea 1

My idea is a strong sturdy horse. The base coat is a chestnut-bay sorta colour while the back is appaloosa styled. The horse would be angled a little to the left having the whole horse visible.

The theme would be country.

I'm thinking a western hat either hanging off one ear or on both ears. A piece of wheat hangs out the horses mouth as it stares directly at the viewer.

The background can be either a meadow or a dry paddock. The sky would be bright and sunny.

Idea 2

Okay okay hear me out.. I know this is gonna sound crazy.. but imagine inside a deep forest, a creek in the background the sweet noises echoing in the forest. But suddenly the noise is cut short, small soft thuds are heard and the deep dark forest is all but dead silent... Not a bird twitter, not a horses whine. Just silence. Silence that everyone is all but custom to.

So what if there was a deep dark forest, to the left is a crystal clear aqua coloured creek sparkling. In the middle of the forest a sun spot is seen from within. The streaks of sun belt down on a horse that is lying there. The horse is a Friesian laying down on the cool mossy grass. The white Friesian with blue eyes or a black Friesian (you decide) would be facing towards the creek and a small blue butterfly is on the horses nose.

Okay I'm back with another idea... I know I know... But this one is good trust me^^

I have been dying to see someone work with fire (to do with my name).

My Idea is a Irish Cob or Ardennais (I think that's how you spelt it?)

So you have just a whole canvas filled with fire and smoke (could be set in a forest) (coming up from the ground) and in a small clearing stands the tough looking horse (either rearing or trotting motion). The horse is white in colour holding a match in its mouth, it has a horn that matches the white colour, the heat and glow from the fire cause the horse to almost appear a yellow orange colour. The horses eyes are opened widely, ears pinned back and a long tail curled around the back left leg (when looking from the rear of the horse to the head) The end of the tail is beginning to catch alight. The mane is let loose around the horse. The feathers on the horse are also beginning to alight, and broken pieces of rope is seen around the horses head.

Okay I'm done for real this time xD

Yes the horse survives in the fire :)

This guy is my first WWW and is named after a god known for light and purity so id like his art to reflect something similar "a light in the dark" type thing. im thinking a very dark forest but have his mane and tail be pure light illuminating the space around him. possibly a unicorn drapped in jewlery or sheer silks made of "light" possibly faces on the trees that go away in his light(think that my little pony episode with pinky)

idea #2 HORSE

Im really wanting him chunky with a mane like a fjord in a darker smokey asmoshpere. id like him to be dipicted like a warrior with red accents but still follow most of his coloring.

For her id like a super slim build with a long mane, possibly a unicorn set in a dark forest maybe a swamp. i want a much more spooky vibe and have something be wrong with her like a broken horn, teeth, bones, ect. doesnt actually gave to have her coloring just a dark horse

id love for her to be somehow in the process of being taken back by earth (freezing, growing into the ground, turning to stone, possibly even be part of a sakura tree) id like for her to be chunky.

a dream world horse. maybe has big ears, a lion tail or just atributes of other animals and dreamy colors(purple, blue or even black with colorful accents)

can be set anywhere it doesnt have to be a real looking place literally make it a something youd see in a dream

Kitsune idea: (all cuts) a kitsune horse with 9tails black base coat with white markings and a spotted blanket butt. And white colored stripes on the horses face. The background could be anywhere in the daytime or nighttime

Wendigo idea: (all cuts) a horse that looks like a wendigo so horns and a skull for a face a black body with extra fluff around the neck. Possibly longer limbs like a wendigo. Possibly feathers on strings wrapped around the horns. The background would be in the woods at evening or night time possibly fog. Perhaps a spotted butt I love the blanket appy patterns.

Chinese Dragon idea: (all cuts) A horse with a long body like the Chinese Dragon. Red base color with a yellow flowy mane and Whisker. The horse would have scales and Dragon horns. Perhaps the scene could be in the mountains or lake.

A horse in a rearing position and the head is made up of sirens. This would be a spooky horse in the woods at night.

Fairy garden idea: (all cuts) a small horse with a blanket appy pattern surrounded by huge mushrooms. The background is a vibrant and majestic mushroom field. The horse has a long horn, long flowy manes with moss and tiny tiny mushrooms growing all over the horse

I recently finished the Court of Thorns and Roses series, and the whole thing brought me so much comfort and hope in this time of need haha. A Court of Mist and Fury, was my favorite, and there's one scene in particular that has stuck with me.

I would like something based off of Feyre's first Starfall. Especially when both of them get hit in the face by a star. I have SO many ideas on how it can be done, but I would also so be open to you interpretating it in a different way.

Two horses standing on a balcony at night, one draped in silk and one with a tux bow around his neck, maybe? Anyways, they've both just been hit in the face by a star, and they're staring at each other; at the glowing star dust glittering on their faces.

The sky would be dark, except of course the "hundreds" of stars making a trek across the sky. And maybe the city lights far below peeking through the bottom of the balcony?
