Nothing beats a good OTTB
Ranch Lands Training
I know it's so crazy how much the term warmblood sky rockets the price. I would love to jump again and I have concluded it's gonna have to be on a cross or a TB
FirstLightFarms
(It's why I crashed out and bred my own horse last year and now im like oh fuck oh fuck i'm having a baby in TWO MONTHS)
FirstLightFarms
Oh, we have a Belgian Warmblood lightly backed 4 y/o that we'd take about 40k for lmfao warmbloods are stupid expensive
FirstLightFarms
But I think I'm trying the perfect pony tomorrow and I'm so so excited to bring it home if it works out <3
Ashcroft Park Stud
Though of course you will pay more for Warmbloodd, I guess. I looked at a few 2 yr old Hanoverians (egged on by my mum lol) that were of course pretty feral and they ranged from 8-17k 🫣

I was like I need something lazy and slow that the little up down kids can be unbalanced on. And she was like "well I also have a 16.2 OTTB for sale" and I thanked her for wasting my time and left
The Seven Sins
Thank you Puck! I'm super excited for her and hoping I can get a nice Apricot foal out of her <3

I paid 3k for my unhandled pony, but I definitely overpaid. But a quality WB cross would go for more in this area, depending on how bad the cougar attack was
Ashcroft Park Stud
Yeah that doesnt sound a tempting prospect Lilly xD Can’t say I’d want a KWPN or TB though, so am a little biased. Would want to know why it was still untouched at 5 years old - rings a lot of alarm bells.
Ranch Lands Training
I know right. I'm not seriously looking I'm just window shopping incase the right thing comes up at the right time. But honestly an unhandled cross at that age feels more like a 3 or 4k horse

I tried a 'kid safe' pony last week that scooted away from the mounting block and was spooked everytime the rider moved her upper body. 🙃
