The Eden Post TEP paper for the community run by the community. It is here as another way to connect the players. As such, the paper is proud to offer various contests! Each will be posted here, on the TEP Contest page! Interested in reading the test release? Find it here! ✦•······················•✦ October 2025 Contest This will run from the test release today until the end of October. This is to garner some interest and support for the paper as I get settled onto a regular release schedule! The next will hopefully be released on November 1st, perhaps sooner if interest is high, which will mark the 'official' start to the paper, hopefully with articles and more from the community! With that said, the first TEP contest is for you, the reader! Below will be two versions. 1. Photo contest! I want to include stunning art from all of you! Each participant can post one (1) piece below that you want featured. It has to be made by you, specifically for this contest (no reused pieces). At the end each entry can be auctioned or sold, but the winner and runner-up will be featured front page of the magazine! 2. Writer's Deluxe! Not an artist? No problem! Below, participants will post either a short story or poem they have written. These will then be voted on by members in a poll. The winner will be featured in the release on October 1st, and others will be used in other future issues! These entires have to follow all HEE rules, stay relatively PG, and be under 1,000 words. Prizes Winners: 75k (x2) Runner-ups: 50k (x2) Honorable Mentions: 25k + Capture/Item Basket Want to donate? Feel free to reach out to me! Edited at September 20, 2025 03:54 PM by Thornwood Manor

Entering my poem, sunsets song ___________________________________ As the horses settle down on the edges of the wide, quiet field, their breath rising softly in the cooling air, a stillness spreads across the land. The wind drifts gently through the trees, carrying with it the rustle of leaves that scatter and dance across the ground, as if swept into a final performance before night takes the stage. We pause together in that moment, allowing the weight of the day to slip from our shoulders, breathing in the calm that only twilight can bring. The sky above begins its transformation, fading from a pale blue into a canvas of gold, then deepening into streaks of fiery orange and tender pink that stretch across the horizon. Shadows grow long and soft, reaching like brushstrokes over the grass, while the last warmth of sunlight lingers on the earth. In that space between day and night, the world seems to whisper, reminding us of both endings and beginnings. Though the sunset falls in silence, its song lingers in the heart. It hums with the promise of rest, with the beauty of fleeting moments, and with the memory of colors that fade too quickly yet remain etched in the soul. For a time, its music travels farther than sound—carried in the glow of the heavens, heard not with ears but with wonder, across miles and miles of open sky. I am entering a nonet I wrote! . For those who don't know, A nonet is a style of poem where there are nine lines of verse: The first line has 9 syllables, the second has 8, the third 7, and so on until the last line has 1 syllable. Alternatively, the first line can have 1 syllable, the second line 2, and so on until the ninth line has 9 syllables. Read nonets like you'd read a poem; pausing after each line, then continuing. The special thing about nonets is they can be read forwards or backwards! You can start at the top and read down, or start at the bottom and read up! . This is one of my favorites that I've written, after making a visit to the top of a hill at night. It was shrouded with fog, and I couldn't see more than a few yards in front of me! . FOG . Though impossible to wave away, Scattering when wind approaches Beautiful, terrifiying Creeping along the ground Conceals all from sight Low clouds hover Wispy white Heavy Fog . Alternatively... . Fog Heavy Wispy white Low clouds hover Conceals all from sight Beautiful, terrifiying Scattering when wind approaches Though impossible to wave away. . I left this going both ways for those who find it hard to read bottom to top-- I hope you enjoyed it! Thank you <3

Hi!
I'm a little confused. Is the first option a photography contest or an art contest?

Hi! Sorry for the confusion! It's an art contest, but I had thought Photo sounded better than just art haha. I'll switch it so it's easier to understand :)
