If you have eco packaging made of horse/sheep wool, put it out onto a fence. You do have to find a way to attach it + allow the bids to peck it out. The big birds love it and will make nests with it during spring.

Something else you can do is if you brush your cat you can leave their fur outside for birds to make their nests with!

Sorry for the slow updates, loves. Been trying to recover from my illness and get my lost weight back <3
.
The bluebirds look like they're finally building! For the first couple of days, the female would put sticks in and the male would... promptly remove them. But now he's rearranging them and participating, so I think they're official! Hopefully lol

I love seeing this progress Versailles. I've never seen this stage of nest building before. I have often seen the young birds around me pulling and tugging on small twigs. They get it out and then you can literally see them think 'now what?'. It must be the strangest of impulses.

I've got a couple of videos today, loves! I wanted to share some bird knowledge from my time at the college campus a while back, when I was specializing in these guys for zookeeping <3
.
First is this adorable one: click.
The female brought a feather in! For sure they're nesting, feathers and down are one of the biggest indicators of a nest in bluebirds.
She seemed confused by the static, so it brought a smile to my face. <3
.
The second is this video of a behaviour: click.
If you've ever wondered how they make a dish in the center of their nests on platforms, this is how! :) As she gets more materials in, she'll even start spinning around a little.
