Let's not forget that this most recent incident happened a week before it ever aired or gained traction on the internet, so I don't think it's too impractical that this has some kind of governmental ties. I do agree though, I'm a bit worried for the state of our country. |

I'm not buying word of some random person online. I'm theorizing on my own and discussing it. Not saying it's 100% that there's something else going on. But it's not impossible... Some people think about things in different ways. Rather than just seeing it in black and white.

The news picked up that the train derailment gets them views, so naturally, they're going to talk about what gets them views (see: all the weather balloon stuff being shot down, several of which turned out to be privately owned and not foreign). Owing that there's an average of 1,000 derailments per year, that averages out to being about 3 per day (2.7 if you want to be exacting). Hell, there was apparently several train derailments in my state in the past couple of months. None of them made the news. Location and weather is important. There was one in Nebraska last week which has had heavy amounts of severe winter weather in recent weeks. That ignores the terrible state train tracks are typically in. There's no grand conspiracy. Just poorly maintained infrastructure and CEOs wanting to squeeze out as much money as they can. Sweetwater Creek said: Why are you so reluctant to beleive there could be something more behind all of this? It's not super far fetched and we all know the govenment is corrupt as fuck. Because rail road companies are privately owned, not government ran. That and it honestly reads like conspiracy theories. I'm not going to buy the word of some random person online, especially when there's nothing to back up the statements.

According to Harry Potter - train derailments and uncharacteristic weather is an occurrence from He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and his cronies. Perhaps, we are facing another world-dominating tyrant who is rattling the Earth. We are but muggles in a magical world. - not making light of the situation(s); one of the derailments was in my state, and actually happened a few miles from the equestrian center where a couple horse shows were running. I just so happened to have my phone on shuffle and the Deathly Hallows book come on with the first chapter mentioning Train Derailments and the cause. |

I live in California and I really don't think it's a coincidence. There's no freaking way that many derailments of trains carrying toxic chemicals would happen that often. Also, they know that burning chemicals creates toxic gases and such. It seems like they're doing it on purpose... |

I mean, this doesnt just read like a conspiracy theory, it is a conspiracy theory. By definition, at least. Every time there is any description of unrest in America (and im guessing every other country ever) conspiracy theories arise as a way to explain the inexplicable. Its human nature - we've never been very good at accepting things without explanation. The fun thing about conspiracy theories, as is being proven by this thread, is that they are super difficult for humans to actually falsify. Here is a great study done in this regard, if you have connections to most academic institutions you should be able to access it. Biased assimilation is an interesting concept - basically everyone thinks they must be right! Its challenging to disprove your conspiracy theory in the way that its difficult to disprove that AIDS was created by the government, or that 9/11 was an inside job (intense examples, but I digress). There is no evidence to say that your theory is true, but there also isnt any to say that it isnt. And thus lies the inherent dillema. I implore everyone on this site to look at the available evidence and do what you will with that. But equally understand that it is nothing more than human nature to try to explain what you cant understand. Just because its human nature doesnt mean its right. |
