Thank you!! . . I do have some good news/bad news, however. I did get the job if I want it! (Yay!) But. What I didnt realize when I applied is that its a door to door salesman, this was only disclosed to me in the second interview when I asked what the day to day looked like. I was under the impression it would be an office job, which part of it is, but thats not it, unfortunately. Its in a pretty dangerous neighborhood & I dont have anything to protect myself with. I will have to turn them down but I was incredibly lucky to essentially get this kind of "test run" of an interview that helped build up some confidence talking about myself and to people that I dont know

No one wants to do door-to-door sales, so companies will often be really sneaky about pulling you in and figure that once there's an offer of payment, you might as well just say yes. I'm a college grad with a bachelor's degree and I've been lured into unexpected group interviews and told the job would actually be something completely different. Just take it as interview experience.

It's very common for this type of work to be disclosed later in the process, since the further you're in the less likely you'll back out. I had that happen to me with a job that I had no idea was door-to-door until the second interview when they invited me back and gave me more relevant information. It's a sucky tactic, but I'm so happy you got the experience! On the bright side you'll be able to use this going forward with future interviews

Unfortunately yea, that does seem rather common. Ive seen similar jobs posted and only 1 disclosed that it was a door to door salesman up front. I am absolutely taking it as interview practice though, I am very glad to have had an opportunity to do that! . Ive also neglected to mention that I have another interview today! This one is for a pet store in a rather nice town plus id be getting benefits :)

Know that all interviewers want you to do well. Honestly pop that into your head, they are nervous in their own ways too. Get them to repeat a question if necessary and also they love an inteligent question in return. Best of luck xx
