Just one of my spots. I don't have very many fun facts about these guys. :) Revel Ranch helped me identify him.

I love birding! I've worked on the same farm for almost a decade now, giving me a chance to really get to know the animals, and I'm quite friendly with two of our mallard ducks and one of the crows.

Along them, we have an insane amount of birds. Anhingas, cormorants, ibises, egrets, a blue heron, an osprey, two red-shouldered hawks, the occasional woodstork. And of course red headed woodpeckers, mockingbirds, blue birds, blue jays, and finches. I once rescued a catbird from my horse's paddock, and a baby limpkin from the lake. We also briefly had a diving duck but a turtle got it.

My favorite is every July, we have a spoonbill that comes and hangs out for a month.

We also usually get a bald eagle in November, but it skipped us this year and made a nest a few miles down the road. Probably because the osprey was a dick to it last year.

My recent favorite is a little dark blue bird with a white pattern on him that blends in perfectly with oak trees. I'm not sure what it is yet as I haven't gotten too close to see anything more identifying.

Hello everyone! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share an amazing photo I took a mother black-chinned hummingbird caring for her young.

I got into birdwatching 2 years ago after giving up horseback riding because it became too expensive. I was searching for a new hobby that involved animals and quickly fell in love with our feathered friends!

I love crows! Genuinely so intelligent. All of the corvids are. The magpies are my favourite here in Colorado, and I will very much miss seeing them once I've moved to Tennessee.

Found some old photos of the hawks menacing my horses 😂 I don't have too many pics of the other birds, I'll have to dig for the spoonbill, but I'll definitely be better about photographing them!

I love the little baby hummingbird beaks in the hummingbird one lol. I feel like it is a really rare spot just because hummingbirds are so teeny tiny.

The spoonbill is the pink guy :) the woodstorks are the three in front of it- previously endangered but now thriving! And the egrets are the three behind it.

It's so nice to see bird species saved <3 The storks are beautiful.

But that's such a lovely pink, too. Definitely not a thing a lot of people commonly see, when they live away from water. He's new to me!

This is such an amazing picture to see. My grandmother loved birds but especially hummingbirds. I remember visiting her when I was growing up and watching out the front window at all of the birds that would stop by. She always had feeders out.
