Everyone meet Arcas!

I brought him home a few days ago on Tuesday, December 2nd. He came into our store as a tiny baby. He was one of my first projects while I was being trained at this job, and of course, I quickly fell in love. He was put up on the shelf on Tuesday, and of course, I purchased him within minutes. I just couldn't let him go! He waited in our staff lounge while I completed my shift, and once home, received his 10 gallon tank that I had been cycling for weeks <3

He is a baby alien betta, a hybrid between wild types and certain domestic breeds. That's why he's got short fins! As he grows, he's going to become a little more patterned with black markings on that gorgeous royal blue!

Don't worry, his live plants are coming soon!
