So. My neighbor's propane tanks n barbecue setup just exploded. Full on kablooey. Other neighbor said she heard it and it shook her house. Her horses were freaking out.
Somehow, my brother and his friend were in the right place, at the right time, AGAIN, to be grabbing garden hoses and knocking on other neighbors' doors, calling the fire department, usual good samaritan things. Aforementioned neighbor with the horses got a fire extinguisher and directed cops n firetrucks to the driveway from the road(it's set back and in a little cluster of other homes on the corner)
Nobody was hurt(except said bbq and also a good portion of their fence), and by the time the fire department arrived, it was pretty much contained.
Now here's the funny part.
This is, I think, the 3rd time something like this has happened in the past year and a half.
First time, it was our own house, and my brother and stepdad had the fire out with garden hoses before firefighters even arrived, who rescued our 5 cats from the rather trashed house.
The second time, he and his friend saved yet another home, and if I recall correctly, a chicken coop, from fire, with yet another garden hose.
If this ain't a sign from god that these boys need to be firefighters, I don't know what is x'D
