Today was crazy! First off I had a 6:30am early morning FFA Officer meeting so that was tiring, then I had FFA Officer interviews to be interviewed for office next year, and our annual FFA plant sale. So anyways plant sale is from 2-6pm and there was a track meet today. Anyways I got my Dr. note yesterday clearing me and at like 6pm yesterday night I sent it to our head coach assuming I wouldn't start practice until after break... Anyways apparently she got the note before the meet entry deadlines and entered me into pole vault at the varsity level... Anyways I wasn't told I was vaulting since again, I wasn't supposed to start til the 16th, and that's what we all thought until Dr note came through. xD So like 5 min before I have to vault 3 of the guys come in one of the guy's car yelling at me telling me I had to go and I'm working the plant sale and am so confused on why they are like you need to come your about to pole vault, and they get out of the car and tell me all this super frantically, and so as they are literally kidnapping me I'm like Mrs. G can I go? I guess they need me and she's like uhh sure? As I'm being taken to one of the guys car xD They had a kid who pole vaults from a different school stand in the parking spot where the gguy parked originally, since the traffic was bad and there wasn't parking so that the guy could get me and keep his spot so then the guy ended up paying the kid xD So then I'm here in my athletic shirt and jeans and sandals, and I'm like guys I can't vault I'm literally in Birkenstock knock offs and jeans, so the boys go around asking people for shoes so I could vault xD It was so funny then they came back with a pair of shoes xD Soo... I did my 3 step which is basically a run that goes left foot right foot left foot over 5 feet xD It was crazy xD
