So for some insight, my cousin is getting married in May and I need to buy a dress and some accessories. I don't get to dress up very much, so part of me wants to keep it as cheap and simple as possible, but the other part says that because it doesn't happen often, it should be special and whatever i want. Here's what I am thinking my outfit will be . I went with black because the 3 colors I look the best in are navy blue, red, and black. Navy blue and red are part of the wedding theme colors so I Don't want to match them. The only thing I wouldn't have to buy is the felt hat, I have one of those. Altogether other than it, the outfit would cost around $160. I have enough money, I'm just not sure what to do and I'm bored right now so here we are 😁 Opinions? |

No, it's a wear what you want, you can even wear the same color as the bridesmaids if you like |

I wouldn't wear black. It's not really a wedding color and you will likely be the only one wearing it besides the groom. If you're allowed to wear the same color as the wedding party, I would definitely lean in that direction. |

It's definitely a loose wedding, I asked the bride if black was alright and she said she didn't mind at all. The groom and groomsmen are all wearing button-ups and blue-jeans

Black is stunning! And is usually my first pick, but Red or Burgundy with black accent couldn't go wrong i should think. |

Maybe also get a turquoise jewelry piece for the hat? The whole thing is beautiful! And you will be a credit to the bride. A nice half up, gentle waterfall like hair style will complement the hate and easily show of those gorgeous earrings. |
