So I'll be flying internationally in December for almost 3 weeks. The plan is I'll be going to the uk I do plan on sneaking a day trip to Paris (maybe) for my birthday while I'm over there however I haven't decided yet. Now what I am stuck on is I have a 9+ hour layover in San Francisco (never been there last time I flew to the uk I went to Shanghai for my layover) now I am tossing up between staying at the airport for that time or if I wanna maybe go for a little explore around before my flight to the uk. Now would it be worth it to go exploring san Francisco for a couple of hours before my flight or should I just stick to chilling in the airport?.

San Fran is very pretty! Even if you just walk around the park by the Golden Gate bridge, it's worth it

That's definitely one of the places I was thinking of seeing well mainly the Golden Gate Bridge for sure I didn't know there was a park by it so I might have to check that out as well!

I went to San Francisco earlier this year on a short weekend trip. It's definitely a good place to sightsee. We went to a park (Golden Gate Beach) you can view the bridge from there, Pier 39 (Food/Shops), and then went to Lombard St (Touristy!). I would definitely go explore! I have such fond memories of that trip :)

I agree, San Fran is really neat to visit and the cool stuff is relatively close together. I would go to Golden Gate and Pier 39! Edited at October 2, 2025 04:13 PM by SHAE Stables
